***Official 2019-2020 Transfer Thread***

I doubt Gomez would be cutting his list down to 4 schools that haven't offered him a scholarship.
It’s not unheard of in spring recruiting imo. Interest is inflated/misunderstood/false all the time. The real proof is generally an official visit, but not this year!

I think Gomez has legit high major interest, and even better, will help our team next year. But I understand those skeptical of that.

Lol you're such a hater. Gonzaga called and offered the day he went into the portal

I think we can all agree "offer" means a number of different things. I'd be surprised if it was an offer he could have immediately accepted.

Gomez is not going to end up being our saving grace next year, but the kid can flat out shoot. He looks to be a perfect spark plug off the bench. After watching his highlights and looking at his stats.. I'd take him in a heartbeat.

respectfully disagree...Gomez is Tier 1 IMO. When you have offers from SDSU and Gonzaga you are Tier 1. As a pure shooter and scorer I think Gomez is Tier 1.

Can you name any P5 player under 5'10 that has made any sort of significant contribution? I'm honestly curious as I can't find any after some Google searches.

Jackson and Bolton are definitely good enough.

They both shot 33% from 3 point range last year. They may improve next year but they are not nearly “good enough” unless they both are 38% or above.

Actually under 5'10 or their listed height? Because I'm sure there are plenty. I'd imagine Pierre Jackson, Keiton Page, and Tyler Ullis were all close. The fact is, height doesn't matter on the offensive end as much, especially when you can shoot. Prohm's teams don't play much defense, so I don't think his size will be much of a concern. The bigger concern will be, does Prohm put him in a position to be successful? There is one thing I trust Prohm with and that is finding skilled guards.

Wow, who would've thought this thread would devolve into arguing semantics on leftovers? So predictable. Keep on rationalizing in favor of that bad product tho!

Page was listed at 5'9, same with Ulis.

Someone mentioned Chris Clemons and that's a very good comp for Gomez IMO
Just curious, I know you’ve had good sources in the past. They saying Gomez is gonna be a clone?

I haven't heard anything about transfers besides were still in on Carton. This staff who is already quiet is even more quiet than usual

Chris Clemons is a good comp. I think Gomez would be a good add for 6th-7th man off the bench. He has never had an issue getting his shots up even against good competition. But there is quite an adjustment from being the guy that puts up 15-16 shots a game to being happy with a bench role where you get 6-10 shots a game.
