So let's just say Prohm misses the tournament this year (basically 100% going to happen), and next year there is tremendous progress, we are a bubble team and slightly miss the tournament, do you fire him because he didn't make the tournament?
I don’t see Pollard pulling the trigger at all, unless he goes under .500 for the next couple years after this year.

Thats all fine and swell but FAMU never beat a P5 school in its history.
And no 16 seed ever beat a 1 seed but that happened as well. Funny things happen all the time in sports, especially in basketball, where you can have one off night and lose to a team you shouldn't have.

Then 54 weeks later they did this --

Did you read my post I was referencing ISU coaches only.....Not teams like Kentucky or anyone but Iowa State....

but you're saying it shouldn't happen, right? since it didn't happen with those coaches why should it happen with prohm. all those coaches better than prohm then? nope

these things DO happen no matter who the coach is.

People forget they lost Hunter for the NCAA tournament the year they lost to UMBC. He was a huge piece to that team and when you lose something like that, the entire team chemistry can be thrown off.

In what world is it a 4 year process anymore? This would make sense if Wigginton, THT, TH, etc. were all staying for 4 years. They aren't. We also had 50% of our 4 year recruiting class leave before the first game this season. Let's not compare two completely different situations.

What world? My example just graduated from KSU last year. Have things changed that much in just 11 months? I was responding to someone who stated it's better to have older players who have played together longer.

In recent history, the most solid teams have had solid juniors and seniors who have been with the program for years with a few young and talented guys sprinkled in.

Losing to a team who had never beaten a Power-5 team in their schools history is not the same as losing to a team in the NCAA tournament.
Except for the fact that a 16 seed had never ever ever ever beaten a 1 seed.
