KXNO/iHeart Layoffs

I'm sure the "details" can't be shared given their employment, etc...but i wonder if Murph and Andy flexed and IHeart realized they were about to lose the DM market?

Also, I'm super happy it's moving to FM...I live in central Iowa, but at times (if the weather is off, certain times of day, etc) the signal goes to crap.

I'd guess that advertiser cancellations has more to do with it than app deletions.

That makes sense, otherwise station would need to start fresh.

Also good on the hosts for not burning their bridges in their twitter post-firing twitter pronouncements.

I am glad for the maintaining of local content and coverage, and especially for the evening hosts. But I will continue to never intentionally listen to the garbage morning show of Travis Justice and Heather Burnside. Now that they have jobs back they can be legitimately criticized again.

Glad everything turned out ok. On the positive side, all these shows are now more popular than they've ever been thanks to all the controversy.
Yep, was a rough thing to go through for them personally but for their actual shows it was probably a very good thing for them.

If that is what happened... That has to be terribly awkward and feel very insecure for the people brought back, right? If they have one foot out the door on you, I would think you would be plotting your own next move with one foot out the door...

If I was fired and the employer had to come back and rehire me 3 days later, I wouldn’t feel insecure... I’d bring a wheelbarrow to work, Randy Marsh-style.

So does this mean all the haters are safe to come out again and will start posting again about how much all these local shows suck and they never listen (yet they always seem to have a current opinion) ....

Is now a good time to demand a raise...?? That would take some snow capped Tegridy.
