That buyout is really steep for a team that just paid out a crap load. Fleck would be the better choice with a small buyout and similar coaching pedigree

I'm gonna guess Brent Venables takes the job.

I'll stand by my previous statements that the only 3 jobs that concern me are Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Michigan. Penn State a distant 4th but I could believe it.

Nowhere else is worth the pressure, not in the Midwest, or is a lateral move

Florida State is paying something like 85% of what remains on Taggart's contract plus paying the buyout to bring Taggart from Oregon and paying the Oregon-South Florida buyout.

If they want to pay Campbell's buyout on top of that, then that's their prerogative. But the current buyout position they're in makes me confident Campbell doesn't even get considered for the Florida State job.

He's going to be on all these lists, just like he has been the past two years. When USC opens, he'll be on that list too.

Notre Dame scares me the most, but I think Kelly is safe/staying put for now.

Michigan is next on the list -- but I bet, even if they ditch Harbaugh, that they would try to aim higher given Campbell having only a good but not a great year this year.

Penn State concerns me slightly. It sounds like Franklin is going to be on the radar for a few big time schools, though I do not know how Penn State could not match their $$$.

Ohio State does not concern me now. Ryan Day seems firmly entrenched and, frankly, doing a really good job right now, assuming he can recruit at Urban's level. He is a pretty similar story to Lincoln Riley of a young coach replacing a legend and, all things considered, seeming to keep that program on just about the same level. So no worries about 614 right now.

I agree with the others that I doubt Campbell wants an SEC, ACC, or Pac-12 job. If he is going, it is for the NFL, ND, a Big Ten school, or *gasp* another Big 12 school.

I was suprised Venables to KState didnt happen.
He should stay at Clemson, wait till Dabo takes over for Saban, then take the Clemson job.

Scott Frost would make more sense to include on this list than Campbell. Similar buyouts and Frost actually coached in Florida.

I don't think CMC would work for a school that would fire their coach in the middle of a season.
CMC wouldn’t even return their call.

But I’m curious who will. 20 years ago any coach would. Now? Well, they ended up with Taggart last time
