The key to holding a RB under his average is to not let him have a big play. Look at Hall. He had 183 yards, but had a run of 75, 32 and 19 or 20, (can't remember) Still think that JH will do something to slow the off tackle stuff down for him.

They got some great WR's such as Tylan Wallace. If they had a solid experienced QB, they would probably be a top ten team.

Sanders is prone to turnovers so I hope we can force at least two and if Vance is back then we should be able to get pressure on Sanders and force mistakes. But shutting down Hubbard would be huge. If our defense struggles then it could turn into a shootout. But the most points we have given up this year is 26 to UNI.

Yep, Hall had 37 yards on 9 carries in the first half. Did all his damage in the second half with some big runs, like you mentioned.

This has shootout written all over it. OSU has an elite offense...especially if they are not turning over the ball. On the plus side, their defense is not good. ISU needs to slow that offense down and keep scoring.

He will get his, the question will be on how many carries. I voted over, the kid is a stud running back, and he wears down defenses in the second half.
ISU needs to contain him and make him work for every yard, easier said than done, but I expect an ISU victory Saturday. OSU is soft on defense, Baylor lite them up in Stillwater last weekend in the second half, I expect ISU will do the same in Ames, but it will start earlier and be worse for OSU.

I agree. Outside of Baylor OSU has still been in games even with all of those turnovers. OSU is due for a clean turnover free game. Along with a FG kicking issues, I don't have a good feeling about this game.

I suspect that we will win the time of possession battle, have an early lead, and that will limit his carries. Under.

The question should be whether Hubbard gets more yards then Hall?

I think Hall will get more on the OSU defense than Hubbard gets on ours.

Rewatching that Baylor vs Okie State game, it seemed like Baylor abandoned the run way to early. Some massive holes early in the game and late in the game.

Very true, but he's still going to get 30+ carries. Even at just 6 yards a pop that's still 180 yards

K State gave up 296 yards to Hubbard and 373 yards total rushing to OSU. In their other games K State has averaged giving up under 160 yards a game.

On the other hand, Chuba gained that 296 against K State but has averaged just over 160 in their other 6 games.

OSU has rushed for more than 150 yards in every game with 6 of their 7 games being over 200 yards and 3 of those games over 300 yards. They have rushed 44 or more times in every game and 4 games 50 or more times.

This is probably the most interesting thing I found. In the 4 games that OSU didn't have a 50+ yard run they gained 3.8, 4.0 and 3.9 yards a carry. When the defense allowed them to break a long one(s) they gained 6.8, 7.3, 8.5 and 5.6 yards a carry. This may seem a little Captain Obvious, but it suggests that they make their bread and butter off of breaking off big runs. If you squelch the giant runs the ground game isn't overpowering.

Over. Easily. Hubbard is a freak, and has NFL written all over him. Forget his stats (which are impressive) and watch his games - he simply does not go down (leads Big 12 in forced missed tackles). He will go over 100 easy. If they gave him 50 carries a game they would probably be undefeated. Their QB won't beat us, but their RB could...

Strange the people that think we’ll jump to a big early lead. I’m pretty sure every OSU loss they’ve kept the game close into the 4th quarter, then crumbled.
