Stat: 21 of 27 touchdowns this season scored by underclassmen

That's still just 1.

Seniors (5): Pettway 3, Croney 1, Jones 1
Juniors (1): Allen 1
Sophomores (14): Purdy 6, Lang 4, Kolar 2, Milton 2
Freshmen (7): Hall 3, Shaw 2, Mitchell 1, Scates 1

[Defense: Hummel 1, Uwazurike 1]
Ah, yep, you are correct

Imagining Purdy's senior year, once all this young talent on offense has seasoned, assuming the staff will reload on defense after this season... yeah.

Boing.

Too lazy....how about tackles or other defensive stats from under classmen? I.e., experience will be a factor obviously but the drop off for the DL doesn't feel like it's that big.

Not enough attention has been given to the range of receivers making catches.

In the TCU game, Jones had 10, nine others had 1 each, Pettway had 0.

In the WV game, Pettway had 8, eight others had at least 1, Jones had 0.

Four with catches in the WV game had none in the TCU game.

Is it legal to have that many receivers? Fourteen in 2 games!

Just curious, how do you figure the defense will need to be reloaded? It looks totally loaded for next year to me, aside from nose tackle—and a guy like Bankston or a grad transfer could seal that deal.

I’m only worried about “reloading” the OL for next year—and two of the five look to be just fine and dandy.
