Keep seeing 1-3” of rain the next few days along with a chance on Saturday. Ground is already saturated. Hopefully the lots are open but with the weather pattern lately you never know what Mother Nature will give us this week.

As a G7 parker I'm at the point where I'd be fine if they just moved us to VetMed permanently so we can end the weekly drama of "will the lots be open or not."

Hell, with the the intramural field construction it's probably a faster walk in the stadium anyway.

They will have all day Thursday and Friday to dry out. Its going to be 50/50 but they might be able to stay open if the rain holds off Wednesday afternoon.

Not that it matters for this season but does anyone know if the grass lots are tiled. And if so, when it was done?

How much does it matter? 11am game makes tailgating difficult to impossible for anyone coming in from further than DSM.

I can park on campus and it isn't THAT much further of a walk, and negligible traffic leaving...

While it would have taken a chunk out of income from parking, I almost think this should have been the going in plan. Getting to the stadium from G7 is a mess right now. Had I known it was going to be like that when I signed up, I probably would have elected another lot. I donate well above G7 level, but I prefer grass parking.

The weather has been really disappointing this football season. Overcast/Rain, Rain, Rain/Overcast, Extreme Heat & looks like Rain again.

Combined with the 11am games, tailgating has definitely not been ideal.

You know its been wet for a while when you see mushrooms coming up through the mulch. Drove by the haunted forest today and the north end was all a whitish gray color and as I drove by I noticed all he mushrooms.

Highs of 61 and lows in the 40's won't dry things out that fast. If the humidity is low it sure would help though.

lets see, grass lots closed. 11 am kick. possible rain.

I'm ready for another thread about how much the fans suck for only having 57,000 in the stands

57k would be great with the weather that is being predicted. 50k might be more likely.

We've just been cursed with the weather last year and this year.

Yikes! That’s higher than what KCCI was showing at noon.

I saw that too, KCCI was talking something fairly low for Ames...like a half-inch or something.

Well forget that. Their morning forecast from today is talking 4+" for Ames. And that's just through tomorrow. More is possible Friday night into Saturday.

Yeah... they were showing Ames right on the southern edge of the heavy rain so you just knew it was going to drop south...
