We used to look for license plates from different states and come up with all sorts of nerdy things to do.
Of course we were also free to roam about the old station wagon and play while kids today are strapped in tightly. You probably have to stop and let them stretch their legs every couple of hours.

Many times I took the middle seats out of the van on long trips and it was just free-range kids moving around. Had the luggage on the luggage rack. It was like a room or a fort to them. School bus seats don't force seat-belts or full immobilization....I figured I would take my chances. It worked.
As I type this, I am seeing the Geico (Government Employees Insurance Company, DC) motorcycle commercial where dude sings whitesnake. He isn't wearing a seatbelt either.
Loose Ear Plugs are the new mesothelioma apparently.

Twice in recent months I've asked my wife for "cellophane tape." She looked at me like I was crazy both times.

It's OK to call it that, right?

Does your mall have a Scotch Tape Boutique?

And color me disappointed that Saturday Night Live and NBC have pretty much done the impossible and eliminated any images for old SNL skits for the interweb.

We did this a lot, too. Alaska was always the hardest, even harder than Hawaii, believe it or not.

Potty trained? Yes. Leaving her by herself in the house unsupervised? No, just ask the toilet paper roll.

Fun fact, she doesnt do fetch well, getting better, but long ways to go.

She is a labrador retriever right? I think you may have gotten a broken one.

Jokes aside, she is a pretty pooch.

Maybe she's a Labrador Supervisor.

One of my dogs must have been born a supervisor, and we gave up on fetch with her long ago. She would just look in the direction the ball was thrown then look back at you and sit down. She wouldn't budge until you let the other dog go get it, but she would then go take the ball from the other dog and go lie down with it in front of her. She can sometimes be a real B....

I don't think that dog was born a supervisor. Worse--it was born a politician!!

Rainbow chip cake for birthday party. Made homemade chips last weekend. Just got the cupcakes in the oven. Rising nicely.

Guess what I forgot to add.

At least I'm doing a cake yet, I suppose? And was putting them in the frosting. But dammit.
