Friday OT #2 - Before You Go-Go

It's puzzling to my 4 year old, though. He keeps asking, "Is that a girl or a boy?" and not believing me when I say it's guys in the band.

Something just occurred to me: That cross-generational exchange used to be common, but with the roles reversed. It was the grown-up asking the youngster, "Is that a girl or a boy?"

Show him some Twisted Sister, and full on glam style Motley Cru or RATT. That'll really throw him.

Speaking or RATT, this video really piqued my interest in the 80s. I found a fetish before I was even old enough to know what fetishes were. The chick in this video really did it for me.

"Round and Round" is an example of an '80s metal song that, if you remove the visuals, has aged quite well, in my opinion. It has plenty of 80s elements, but doesn't sound quicksanded in its era. (The Crue has a few that fit that description, too ... topic for another time).

OK. I'll take 1/2 of your credit and give it back to Angie so she now has 3/4 credit.

3/4 credit. So what does she win? Anything below the stereo and on this side of the bicentennial glasses. Anything between the ashtrays and the thimble. Anything in this three inches right in this area. That includes the Chiclets, but not the erasers.

That sounds like an old cliche - is it a woman or a man? Probably a question that was asked a decade or so before.

mix tape and playing it on my sony walkman while i detassel!

Man, I'd always get pissed when the DJ would talk over the intro to the song when I was trying to record off the radio. My high school cross country coach DJ'd for a radio station when he was in college and he said he did that kind of thing on purpose.
