Two stories
Last night about 9:30 wheeny butt starts to cry and we turn on the monitor and he's up on hands and knees. DH waits a second to see if he'll settle and he eventually lays down. We're like score! Then DH is like, wait, look. The nut was laying flat reaching his hand through the slats to play with the yoga ball between the end of his crib and the wall

However, after about a minute of this, he fell asleep. So, still score. It was so funny though, watching him flick his little hand back and forth.
second story. So the past couple weeks I've twice come in to find that I got a meeting invite for an 8am meeting at like 7:45am. Now, because I'm perpetually 10 minutes late now, I'm rarely in at 8 anymore. Which is typically fine because if I know I don't have anything on my calendar right away, I know it's ok. But I brought this up in a meeting because it's happened twice now (same people) and it was affecting a coworker who also tends to get in a bit past 8. So the organizer was like yeah, I know that's a bit early and it can be a struggle for you guys to be in by 8. Coworker and I were both like slow your roll here. When we get the invite after we are already in our cars driving, yeah, it's going to be a struggle to go back in time and gain 15 minutes.
I mean, I was up at 5am today and I was STILL LATE HOW????????? Nut woke up and I was planning to workout anyway so I got started on my workout early, got done faster than I thought.......it was still 8:15 when I rolled in. I guess part of that was I had to do daycare dropoff so that added 15-20. So I guess by that metric I was like 5 minutes early. I guess having him in the bathroom with me when I'm getting dressed takes up more time redirecting him than I notice. This does mean he slept solid from 7:30 to 5am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
