I was born I'm Iowa City and have no desire to go back.
Their University President just resigned. This could be causing the delay in Miles being let go.

Nebraska officials announce Scott Frost will be the new president of the University of Nebraska and will suspend all classes. "We're a football school first, and screw the rest!" is our new motto. Our academic status will be the same, because a degree from NU is worthless anyway.
I love IC. Great town imo and the campus isn't bad.

Could Hoiberg be holding off on the Nebraska announcement waiting to see if Prohm goes to Bama? Then he could just come back to coach at ISU instead? How crazy would that be?

He would be smart to. Fred would take this job back in a heartbeat.
I just hope we keep Prohm and Fred goes far away. Prohm leaving and Fred coming home is the next best option, but I agree with you that a return may not work out. Prohm leaving and Fred going to Nebraska is about as bad as it could get short of him going to Kansas or Iowa.
These national guys don’t just make **** up. They hear things and have sources. Which means one of two things IMO:
1. Prohm looking for an extension and raise.
2. Prohm would listen.
I THINK it’s #1 because he literally said two days ago he isn’t going anywhere. But coaching is an odd business.
Talk about super awkward. Is there any precedence of this happening anywhere?
I mean, I guess I would have to support it because I'll never be the type of fan that silently cheers against my team, just to say "I told you so."

Bama prob has interest in Prohm and JP is wanting to stay cheap and not give to much $$$... JP is also thinking, without thinking, that he can just hire TJ if Prohm leaves..
I agree though that Prohm leaving and then after Fred taking Neb while isu is open would look really really bad. All way around.

Except there is a guy that runs this site and is part of the University family that can literally text Prohm and ask him off the record and then come here and tell us low key that Prohm isn’t going anywhere. But these National guys know more I guess.
No doubt and one of these days he’s gonna have to get over that. I hope we get to a point where our starting salaries for coaches are above the bottom tier of power 5 teams.
Some of you act like JP is personally keeping money that isn't spent in the athletic budget. There is a finite amount of that stuff you know. It's not like he's lining his pockets with it.
