@jcyclonee now I have a daughter who tells me she is nearly certain she is going to ISU. That makes two for two if it pulls through. You need to step up your game.

Remember the good ol' days when it was all about florescent orange.I am past the point in my life where I want (need) all my clothing accessories and personal electronics to be hot pink or neon green.....I spend hours a day looking for stuff it seems. I'll be the guy at the tailgate with the pink gloves and pink cell phone.
The next two have always been more likely to go to ISU because of their interests. However, the out-of-state tuition and the fact that they're probably not going to get the private school scholarship offers that the first one received still make it tough.@jcyclonee now I have a daughter who tells me she is nearly certain she is going to ISU. Dude, I just looked at this school that we got emails all the time for our oldest that is located in MN. These seem quite a bit higher than ISU costs, even if you are out of state. You Minnesota people must be loaded to afford college up there.
2018–19 Academic Year
Comprehensive Fee:
Estimated (Indirect) Expenses:
Tuition: $47,840 Books: $1,000
Room and board: $10,850 Personal Expenses: $900
Total Billed Costs: $58,690
Overall Cost of Attendance: $60,590
They run any mainframes on them?@Cyclones_R_GR8
I think the retirement plan is to take a job on one of these caribbean islands man. They didn't even know that someone had setup a WSUS server with auto approvals.
I know ISU out of state was very close to the same price I'd have paid in-state for Illinois. Made it an easy decision. Not sure what UW is up to now for in-state.......it was pushing $50k total attendance cost when I was looking damn near 15 years ago now (how?!?!??!) Would be nice for little man to be able to go to UW since it's such a good school but IDK. I better get that 529 opened....good reminder!

I know Jamaica still has their electric grid running on a mainframe but they're transitioning off. None here that I've heard of yetThey run any mainframes on them?
My former co-worker in Minnesota had his daughter go to ISU for two years before getting homesick and finishing at U of M. Said the out of state tuition at Iowa State was cheaper than in state tuition st Minnesota.
I have to say that Minnesota being that $$$ does surprise me. UW doesn't because of what's been going on here politically + reputation as an elite school. Minny isn't bad but I hadn't thought of them as quite the same level as UW, plus I though their state funding of the school was in better shape than WI.
