Then you should go read Jeremy’s thread.
Did you miss the part where he said he didn’t know salaries when he started?
He obviously thought basketball coaches salaries were in line with football. It’s obviously not.

So you wouldn’t have an issue paying CSP $3 million or more a year and making CSP a Top 20 paid coach?
Didn’t buffalo win?
I don't know why anyone would want to coach here including Fred Hoiberg. The nostalgia about this man is absolutely crazy. If you aren't Hoiberg you will always be compared to him no matter how much you win. Our fanbase has become embarrassing. If I was Prohm I'd be on the first plane to Tuscaloosa to get away from this madness and live in peace.Don't worry you guys. He'll eventually get driven out of here and then you can be happy about it while you masturbate to the days of yore that you've made up in your head.
Good point on the troll. Now Sitting back watching us eat our own.Sure you can criticize Coach for certain things at times. CouldaWouldaShoulda, yadayada. Ok to be critical, he will learn and get better. But we had a team this year who could beat anybody when on, and lose to anybody when we were not. We were not on Friday. It happens, shots weren't falling, poor defense on Wesson, whatever.
And btw, OP=troll. NO credibility at all w/ your first posts like this, sorry.
Record is similar but look at who Fred lost too. UConn, Kentucky, UAB. 2/3 teams won the championship that year. So quit trying to compare. Prohm has lost to VA, Purdue both of which who lost their next game in the tournament. We will see that trend continue with Ohio state.
I would say that the market dictates these things. I would also say that we don’t know what the conversations between him and Jamie are, and the relationship they have.
I will say that at 2 million, he makes less than guys he’s won more than.
The thing is he’s earned high seeds which means he plays low seeds. It’s not his ******* fault two years ago there was an upset.
So Fred never beat a higher seed is what you're saying.

I'm ok with you ******** about it...freedom of speech. But unless you're a time traveler from the future, you have no idea whether Prohm can lead us to a Final Four. The one thing he seems to do pretty well is recruit. He continues to bring top talent in, we'll always be in the conversation. He IS capable of improving himself as a coach too. Although I'm curious of how he goes about doing this.
I think CFH beat UConn and Notre Dame which were higher seeds. Once again the argument could be make that those teams were not as good during the regular season.

I like Prohm but he's been thoroughly out coached in each tournament loss. Which is every game he's played against a single digit seed.
Against UVA, he was caught totally offguard by Brogdan guarding Morris. He never adjusted, our offense was out of sync and we were never competitive. UVA was a 1 seed but Prohm played 5 NBA guys that year. 1/5 of all ISU players who made the NBA all time were on 1 team. UVA was great but we were more talented.
Purdue, it took him a half to figure out what most of us knew all week. There was no planet in which Swanigan was going to be able to guard Burton. He was too worried about what they were trying to do to see what mismatched we had.
Ohio State speaks for itself, out coached in nearly every way. No adjustment to Wesson, props to Jacobson and Lard, they were in overmatched physically but were set up to fail, even so, both played their butts off.
Veteran guards are a must if you want to get anywhere in the tourney. He can bring in talent no doubt but he's already had more talent than any other ISU coach. He inherited 5 NBA players when he got to ISU. He got that team to the Sweet 16. He has brought in great players but do you think he'll have another roster with 5 NBA guys on it? How much talent would he need to advance beyond the Sweet 16?

[/QUOTE]I’m not a D1 coach so if that is the measuring stick then none of us should ever question the in-game decisions by our coach. And since none of us have been the president of the United States we probably shouldn’t question his decision making. Since most of us having never been a high school teacher we shouldn’t question the method and manner in which are children are taught.
As far as life experiences...my father was a coach, I played basketball through high school, I’ve watched Iowa State religiously for the last 31 years and I’m one of those guys that appreciate analytics, Kenpom, Vegas odds and a really good Double ISO set that CSP ran for LW in the Baylor and Kansas games. But I don’t coach at a Power 5 Division 1 Level so it doesn’t matter.
Since your basketball IQ far exceeds mine I’m assuming that you believe CSP’s in-game offensive sets are high level.
You know what, I'm going to see if I can pull that play, go through it person by person just to prove how huge of an ass you are. Shayok was the point person to get the ball as Prohm thought KSU was going to foul immediately. It was a terrible play and you refuse to admit it
