And so it goes at Ku. Beaty is fired. Ku promises to pay him off, $3 million. But Ku doesn't have the cash, running deficits as they are atop Mt. Oreo. So, Ku asks Beaty for some time, a payment plan, like paying off your home or boat. Beaty says no and does the K-State chant on them. So, Ku turns him in. The NCAA designates a section of their building, the Ku infractions wing. Ku fans react quickly and go all uppity on Beaty for doing the K-State chant. Some plays never change, only the circumcisors.

When Les Miles inevitably flames out at KU, theyre going to have a fun time hiring a new coach when their recent history is:

Hire turner gill. Only give him 2 seasons (though he was a bad hire). Things are a dumpster fire
Hire Charlie Weis. Fire him after 2 seasons.
Hire David Beaty for what at that point is now a long rebuild by anyone's expectations. Fire him in the middle of the fourth season . Concoct ******** to try to get out of paying his buyout.

Beaty was fired after ISU (9th game) in the fourth season. I went to the game and by the time we had driven back to KC, the reports were running wild.
All of the seasons are forgettable though.

You know, I hadn't considered this yesterday but it makes sense. I mean he very easily could have gotten caught up in the small sports like Crew and Water Polo and those elite schools. KU football has been on that same level.

Criner sucked bad, but not KU/Beaty bad. He had 17 wins in his 4 seasons - including a winning season (6-5) in his last year (1986).

Im just trying to figure out how they cheated, committed Violations, and still sucked that bad. That is all Beaty has to do in court. Just show video's of his teams play, look at the jury and be like, You think we cheated to get these kids? End of case.
