So my 2nd grader has a first year teacher just out of college. The kids in school often watch educational or “brain break” videos on a site called Go Noodle. A short video they watched yesterday and two kids doing a re-make if Jump by Kriss Kross. The kids noticed the boys in the video had their pants on backwards. The teacher’s comment was, “Oh, that is kind of silly!” When my daughter told me this I was like “He has no clue who Kriss Kross was”. Song came out in 1992, this guy was probably born a few years later.

Man the delay between the radio and tv is 13 seconds tonight on the Wisconsin-Iowa game, that's a little annoying
Audio on TV sounds weird, like the announcers are in studio calling the game. Glad it's Robbie Hummel and not Dan Dakich though.
He's easily one of the worst announcers because he's such an *******

Yeah...It is going to be an interesting month or two. I am trying not to step on toes but I am also very eager to get going.
Home from a trip to Des Moines. Went to the Drake WBB game. They were playing Illinois St. who has a player from Nevada on the team. Probably 75-100 people there that were family of Lexy or people from Nevada. Drake won but Lexy played a good amount of minutes and scored 7 points. Saturday going up to Cedar Falls as Illinois St. plays at UNI. Lots of people from Nevada end up going there for school so hopefully there will be even more people at that game.
But you never know where he is going to go that's what so entertaining about him. Plus the other guy that they always pair with him that just keeps him in line or at least reminds him there is a game going on. After all there is no place like "the conference of champions"
I can't believe Dakich still has a job. Blustery, opinionated, an unapologetic Indiana homer, and those are his strengths. He has made some off-the-air comments that got him into trouble, and, like his former mentor, no one seems to be willing or able to rein him in.
Hummel's voice is somewhat off-putting, but I do enjoy his commentary. Input-wise, he's light years ahead of Dakich.
It will be interesting to see what the hoks do Sunday afternoon in Linkin. Anybody think Mad Fran will be able to light a fire under those guys?

I think I'm finally recovering my hearing after driving the soccer practice car-pool last night. I've been to concerts that were quieter than those three 11 year-old girls.
Now you put visions of the Dunkin Donuts commercial in my head where the dad is taking them thru the drive thru and the guy in the car ahead of them buys them donuts because he feels sorry for the dad.
Reminds me of a series of commercials airing right now. I don't even remember what they're advertising, but it's moms or dads with kids in the car, just five or six vignettes per commercial. One of them is a dad and his daughter and several of her soccer teammates. The final shot is a gas gauge going from empty to full. Lew think's it's a commercial for Phillips 66.

There are some teenagers who are like that. My daughter needs to tone it down, but nothing beats the wife's 19 year old nephew. We may live in the same town, but don't really associate with wife's brother or family. When her dad passed last year, I was in the dining room and he was across from a couple people with me at the end. He started talking, and I'm like why is this kid mad, but determined that he just yells non stop. Asked my son who is a grade behind him and he confirmed others kids don't hang with him much because he has volume on 11 all the time.
Kid is thinking about sales, won't work. Everyone will get startled by his yelling and then will try to deduce why he is PO'd at them when he is trying to sell them stuff.
