Will Prohm ever win a championship?

To be fair, that Royce White team was an 8 seed, and we handled UCONN pretty easily in the first round game.

What is funny is the only people focusing on Hoiberg teams are Prohm supporters. I, for one, am not interested in
This is what happens when folks, acting in bad faith, come here with agendas. They get the simpletons to follow along, because they are loud with their anger.

Reality is this was a brand new team. There are transfers, and three holdovers from a last place team a year ago, so they think they’re clever with downplaying the experience angle. But the transfers have never had the roles they’ve played this year, so it’s just as new to them. The holdovers have had to redefine their roles on the new roster. Then we have two freshmen playing a lot of minutes, with one post getting spot minutes.

To be 19-8, this group has been overachieving. But they’re not hard to play against. That’s the roster construction. So you can blame prohm for that. But we can be easy to defend, when you clog the middle, and are physical. We can be easy to score on when you spread us out, and run screen and rolls because our guards have a hard time staying in front of people, and lard plays bad position defense, and Jacobson’s not athletic enough.

The good news is, the people that have the agendas are have shown to have pretty low basketball iq’s, so at least you know you’re on the right side of this.
It appears you are shifting the goal posts on what success this season is and what the expectations were up to this point. Both here and in the media we heard this team is good enough to compete for a BIG12 Champ, good enough to make a deep run in the tourney, and they still might. But now that they have been exposed on several occasions by getting out coached, out hustled, less physical, less clutch, suddenly this team is over achieving because how this team is constructed?

I don't think those that oppose your view point have low basketball IQ just because you can spin it the way that fits your narrative.

You know this is why never engaged you because aren’t here in good faith. You’re one of low basketball iq agenda people.

No, what’s dumb is we played a half of basketball today, and let one get away. And apparently people seem to think Iowa state has been a whole lot better historically than we have been.

I guess the good thing is that all of the “fans” have openly outed themselves, finally.

Now, we need to fire a coach because he is only making the ncaa Tournament.

That is far dumber than eatemup mocking them.

Hiding behind our history is a ********, defeatist attitude. What we were as a program through much of our history is largely irrelevant. KU has a true blue blood history, but I don't see us at a huge history disadvantage with anyone else. And nobody here is saying we should beat KU year in and year out.

My frustration is that it seemed like we were putting things together to really move beyond our history. We had like the third longest top 25 streak in the country, longest streak of NCAA appearances in school history, more wins over ranked opponents in a 3 year span than any school in the country, and even a ESPN Gameday appearance.

We were at a level that was well above our history, and it feels like we are on the brink of squandering all that momentum. Those windows are hard to get for a non blue blood, so I don't blame fans at all for being upset if they feel we are at risk of missing one.

1. Sounds like your saying I need validation through you responding to me first. False
2. I disagree with you so I have a low bsaketball IQ? False
3. I pointed out flaws in your statement and instead of addressing those, you attacked my intelligence when it came to basketball..

Not a real compelling way to showing everyone how correct you are.

Yesterday sucked. I understand why some have lost faith, but I still believe in these kids. We’ll get back on track against OU.
They will crush OU. It is human nature to have a better shooting game, at home against a team that plain isn't very good. Add in the fact that OU almost gave up a huge lead and lost to their rival and this has the makings of a blow out.

I agree Steve Prohm will never win a regular season conference title...this guy is not Bruce Webber or even Jaimie Dixon ....not to mention Scott Drew. It will take a whole lot better coach than prohm to win a championship with the coaches now in the big 12.....Im afraid the top 5 is the best we will do under prohm......and remember Go Cyclones
To be fair, there were rumblings of Bruce’s job security even last year.

Just what have we missed or lost, besides some people pushing agendas to alter perspectives? If we lose our, then ok they collapsed. But you don’t know how the season plays out yet.

There’s too many false narratives being pushed here. Jamaal Tinsley won back to back conference championships, 17 and 18 years ago. Amazing feat. But that’s been it. 100+ years. Some terrific coaches. 2 modern day regular season conference titles.

This team needed the entire season to gell we had injuries and suspensions. This team will hopefully gel at the end. Shayok is a black hole and Lindell is sick of the bench. Prohm has done well with the difficulty of the season. they will go on a run. I would take a final 4 or elite 8 over big 12 championship.

No because if you were really a fan you would have been here celebrating some of the great wins this team has provided for this fan base.

You were a ghost during those times, and only came back when we lost.

You aren’t here for discussion.

Prohm haters have the same mentality as parents that can't admit their kid failed so it's the coach's fault.

Inconsistent shooting isn't fixed during practice, it's the commitment outside of practice.

And I will guarantee you that these guys have put in the time working on it.

It’s a long season. The trajectory is not straight. Ebbs and flows happen.

This team needs to see some shots fall. I hope we get more stuff going to the basket, especially Maryal and Lindell. They need to get to the rim to start the game, it can’t just be jump shots. Get to the line, get started, everything is easier then.

So because I can't be on here every game, I am not a fan? Do I need o update you on what I am doing if I can't be on here?

Again, you don't validate my fandom. You are just uncomfortable with me disagreeing with you so you avoid the conversation and insult me instead.

If you would just be honest, it would go so much further.

Interesting you’re so busy, too busy to come on and celebrate a big win, but can find time to spend hours on here complaining about prohm.

And to put a hole in your assessment of me, I was posting during this game. That means the outcome wasn't determined. I didn't wait until they lost.

You don't like my opinion so you attack me rather than giving objective thought to an opinion counter to your own.

Kid usually stay away from the silly meltdown threads, but for this one, I really really need the “dumb” emoticon.

This team won 13 games last year. This season, they’ve already won 19, with plenty to go.

Now, I don’t know if the OP realizes this, but the occasions where teams turnaround from 23 wins to perfect, championship level play are extremely rare. Especially in a P5 conference.

And the injuries and suspensions didn’t help with the precise.

Duh.

It’s a progression. 19 wins so far? They’ll be even better next season. Stop being Chicken Little.

I don’t care about you’re opinion. The fact that you’ve been so disingenuous presenting it says everything about your “fandom”

That you’re trying so hard to present a defense of having your “opinion” is also pretty telling as well.

So have at it. If it’s so painful, then the off button on your remote is always an option.
