2 straight games on the refs

We just really needed to make one not bad play in the last minute and a half to win. DeRosa and Brown made the plays down the stretch.

That missed OOB call is VERY frustrating because it took two refs to **** it up. One, the ref who overruled it missed it. Two, the ref that called it originally must not have seen it well enough to tell the other one to get back in his lane. If either one had saw it, that’s a big stop for us instead of another chance for KSU.

Refs were bad both ways today.

They were sketchy at Baylor.

But ISU has to be better in all aspects to win these types of games.

I've been a bit of a CSP-loyalist or at least can't stand the rose-colored views of the Fred years but unless Conditt was struggling with fatigue or something you HAVE to stick with what go you the lead and made it really hard for KSU in that span.

How do people on this board spend 2 hours watching a lethargic, unfocused team let rebounds slip through right their fingers, miss multiple wide-open threes, and miss 2 front-end one and ones in the last 2 minutes of a game where we lost by 1 point, and immediately throw a temper tantrum about the mean old refs and their conspiracy against Iowa State?

I don't know that refs are biased against ISU as much as they are favoring a physical style that ISU doesn't play. There are teams in the Big12 that like to play with contact and the refs are allowing it in conference play. It isn't going to go away. ISU needs to be able to adjust to play with this style.
Finesse teams always whine about the refs because when they get bullied by bigger, stronger players it always looks like they are being fouled.

If you want to have finesse players, you gotta take the bad with the good. You can't just celebrate the talent of the amazing players when they play well and scream at the refs when someone exposes their weaknesses.

Complete lack of consistency. Defense was horrid at times. On offense there were too many times they forgot there were four other players out there with them. It’s called a TEAM sport for a reason.
