Apparently flannel is back in style

Cool, it was all the rage in 1980 with this Iowa State crew.

As was my fu manchu stash. Old roommate, The Gabes, is sporting the mountain man look. Everyone else, just generic flannel guys. BTW, all old Dana House guys.

Watching a news clip tonight. DOT lady talking about the hwy 330 interchange that is nearly completed...she referred to her team as the *undefatigable* (the word is indefatigable) and pronounced it UN-dee-fuh-TEE-guh-bull. My ears are bleeding.

She is no Horatio Hornblower!

oh hai. been reading but not posting. Lots I want to get done this weekend..........we'll see. Mostly just want to sit and cuddle and pretend I can pause time.

I've gone into work a few times + days from home and while that has gone well, today's visit to daycare has exposed that I'm not nearly as ready for this as I would have liked to pretend. Where has the time gone.

If I lived in Minneapolis or she lived in Dallas we would be dating I'd imagine. We talked about it and we're both not doing long distance so for now, just friends.

Part of this trip is a mini informational meet and greet interview with a manager/team that I had worked with previously. He thought I might be interested in a role. Technical Pre-sales in the North Central region (ND, SD, MN, IA, WI) for the the upper education space (ISU would be one of my accounts!). Bigger base salary and bigger bonuses but the bigger quota and shorter leash if you screw up worry me.

It depends on whether Pants is physically present in the State of Minnesota, whether Birdy wears that certain sweatshirt, whether I wear my new ISU cap, whether KC wears her funky socks, whether Woo does something I don't recall, and probably on other factors I don't recall.

Mine was being at a bar playing shuffle board with friends, but I won't be able to do that since Wisconsin plays illinois at the same time. Also, I should probably be heading to bed since I want to wake up at 5:30 so I can head down to Madison early, but I'd rather stay up. Decisions decisions

Same district this year and next. They came down to us this year. They were also in the same district a few years ago.

Last game Ottumwa was at Mason City...it's a 3 hour trip...then the game was delayed by lightning for 3 hours. Game didn't finish until 12:30a. Husband luckily already had a room in Fort Dodge. (I believe) He didn't want to make the trip all the way back on the "normal" timing of a game.
