On my way up to Minneapolis to hang with the lady friend for the weekend. This might be the first time I wear a jacket in like 2 years

Oh I forgot to tell y'all that she's agreed to come to Maui with me. She's leaving early so she can have Thanksgiving at parents house but I'll take it!

So is this a friend, an actual girlfriend or a:

First of all #loveisntreal

But actually...

If I lived in Minneapolis or she lived in Dallas we would be dating I'd imagine. We talked about it and we're both not doing long distance so for now, just friends.

Part of this trip is a mini informational meet and greet interview with a manager/team that I had worked with previously. He thought I might be interested in a role. Technical Pre-sales in the North Central region (ND, SD, MN, IA, WI) for the the upper education space (ISU would be one of my accounts!). Bigger base salary and bigger bonuses but the bigger quota and shorter leash if you screw up worry me.

In the last several months. The washing machine broke. The dryer broke. Now the microwave gave out. This is getting old.

Do not know what I'll do if my old Kenmores ever poop out. Bought them in 1986 when I moved into this house. Apparently they are bulletproof run forevers.

Related, kinda weird for someone from my generation to see Sears in it's final death throes. The Die Hard in my Porsche might end up being my last Sears purchase.

My grandmother has a pension from Sears inherited from my grandfather who was an appliance salesman for like 35 years there until the late 90s when they started going downhill. I wonder what's gonna happen to that.

It depends on whether Pants is physically present in the State of Minnesota, whether Birdy wears that certain sweatshirt, whether I wear my new ISU cap, whether KC wears her funky socks, whether Woo does something I don't recall, and probably on other factors I don't recall.

When you needed something/anything you went to Sears. If they didn't have it in the store you would go to the catalog section in the back and order it.

It helps for me to be at a funeral or a softball tournament. I'm trying a new one next weekend, where I'll be laid up at a hospital. Doubtful the game will be on in my room.

She's likely to be okay since the federal Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp is still in effect to "insure" in case of corporate bankruptcy. . Lower salary pensioners are likely to fall below the max that the feds will cover so she might not lose anything.
