Once ISU wins the appeal I hope JP/athletics make a 25k donation to wind energy research at ISU college of engineering in honor of Holgerson and WVU.

Oh well. It’s not going to stop anyone from doing it again. This is also 100% due to Holgerson being a ***** about it. If he has such an issue with it why does he let his players attempt to fight fans?
Yeah, but next time it will be $100,000. They won't just keep dropping a $25K wrist slap if it happens again and again.

No. This is 100% because Dana threw a fit. The only way to respond is to keep our foot on the pedal moving forward against WVU. It's been said before, but that team shoved down Wally Burnham, was yelling obscenities at our students, and don't forget the time WVU MBB player sucker punched Monte Morris. If there is one thing that WVU has no business talking about it is "professionalism" in regards to athletic departments and protecting players and staff.
Especially with all the storm warnings...

Hmmmm seems to be a strange time to set a precedent for that sort of thing. I mean if someone was in immediate danger or something bad happened I could see why. But to my knowledge no one got hurt and Campbell himself said there were staff members that did not celebrate. Instead they ensured WVU staff and players got off the field safely. Not sure what else they could do?
For the record, I think fining a school is not the route to go to discourage this type of behavior. I just don't think there's a way to completely stop it from happening. Best thing you can do is make sure you have enough staff to ensure the visiting team can get off the field/court safely without any issues.
And the other issue I have with this is the Big 12 is fining us for not keeping the players safe, not just for the general storming the field issue. So assume a situation where no one from WVU got hurt and no one from their side complained...if one of the people from the crowd or a reporter got hurt *cough* the guy that asked Dana Holgorsen the question that started all this *cough* would they have fined us? I'm going to guess no.
It just seems a bit arbitrary to issue a fine. At best it's pandering to a coach that cannot take the butt whoopin his team got. Sorry Dana, your team got destroyed. Heisman - gone. CFP-gone. Hair- already gone (kind of).

Where does it say it is $100,000 next time? There is NO Big 12 bylaw that states that schools can be fined for storming the field. SEC yes however but we are not in the SEC. What a coward move by Bowlsby giving into crying Dana. Even WVU fans commenting on the Big 12's tweet and Brett McMurphy's tweet are saying this fine and reprimand is petty.
