when do you come back? Ahead of the hurricane??
I worked at a restaurant and never got a tip. You think those Big Macs cook themselves?

Yeah, I come back tomorrow afternoon. I don’t think the storm is supposed to hit until Thursday.
Hey @cyrocksmypants go to Nandos for me while you're in DC. Please and thank you. Plus you're welcome.
There are a few Nandos in Illinois now. Not that I get out there much anymore.Hey @cyrocksmypants go to Nandos for me while you're in DC. Please and thank you. Plus you're welcome.
I can top that. I was delivering in Ames on an absolutely horrible night. It was storming with thunder and lightning and poured so hard that Duff flooded. I drove through about 8 inches of water to get to a place north of the tracks north of Ontario. You know that nice neighborhood that is on the back side of Veenker. I pull into the drive of a huge brand new house that has three brand new vehicles sitting on the driveway. I gave the woman who answered the door her 3 pizzas while she asked me about the terrible weather. I told her about driving through flooded streets to deliver her pizzas and then she tells me how terrible that was as she waited for me to dig through my wallet to give her her 7 cents of change. No, there was no tip, not even a "Keep the seven cents."Was once a delivery person, delivered a pizza somewhere, and the total was something like $17.06.
The lady stood there and just watched as I counted out the $2.94 or whatever it was in full to give back to her.
I think I got paid a bit for gas mileage but tips were encouraged.
*****.
And they still expect it in 30 minutes or less.I can top that. I was delivering in Ames on an absolutely horrible night. We always used to envision this conversation:
"The weather is terrible out. I wouldn't send a dog out in this crap. Let's order a pizza!"

I had 2 yards of black dirt delivered this weekend and moved it all with a shovel and wheelbarrow as well as scraping up about 300 sq ft of sod with a shovel and digging up half of our front wild flower garden. I was pretty tired at the end of the day Sunday. Monday I realized that my fitbit had recorded 30k steps on Sunday. With all of that walking, lifting and shoveling, no wonder I was tired. My neighbor had a load of rock delivered the other day about 4-5 inch rock. Now he had another delivery of probably 8-12 inch rock. Both piles are in his driveway. I have no idea what he is going to have built.
In my experience the college students even if they had to dig in the couch cushions to scrape together money for a pizza generally would find a way to make sure the driver got something. It was more people who were well established who felt like they didn't need to bother giving something to the driver. There were obviously exceptions but that seemed like the trend.I was sadly one of those people in junior high. Snow day! I should order Pizza! I totally did not understand proper tipping at that point in my life.
Or at least a couple of bong hits. I knew guys that didn't mind being tipped that way.In my experience the college students even if they had to dig in the couch cushions to scrape together money for a pizza generally would find a way to make sure the driver got something.

I think your neighbor may be taking this "build that wall" thing a little too literally.....Wait til you see the third load!
