Does anyone know how to send mail to a professor like the syntax of the mailing address to use... Trying to send a thank you note to a guy who mentored me the last 2 years.

Like the salutation?

I just go with something like,

Dr. _________________,

I just wanted to say thanks (and wherever you go from there).

No like what goes on the address part on the envelope to get it delived to him. Do I include like his office or what.

Yeah. That'll get it to him.
Department office address will as well. Either way will work, because either way goes through the department admin assistant.

If you don't know the room number, just addressing it to him, ISU dept of yadda yadda, Ames, IA 50011 will get it to him. All external mail comes in through ISU postal & parcel services, and they deliver to departmental offices, who then distribute the mail to the members of the department. P&P will get it to the correct department.

Just missed seeing Naz this afternoon. The 12yr old had an orthodontist appointment and you check in on a Ipad st the front desk. Shows who else has appointments to check in and Naz was on there. He is in town for Georges’ charity golf tourney he had Monday.
