Hey guys, been a very long, hard couple of days. Things started well and for reasons not entirely known, stopped just before i could have delivered and went sideways. Baby is healthy and safe. I am also ok and pain is finally managed today. I heard "I've never had this happen before" way too many times the last 36 hours, mostly in regards to failed pain relief. And as it turned out, the pain i was having was far more than normal contractions so it was a bucket of suck. Anyway, i am doing better this afternoon now and hopefully will get some sleep tonight. Maybe we'll call family today.....we honestly just havent wanted to deal with them yet. Yesterday was just really hard physically and emotionally. Baby is a bull calf for those curious and adorable in my biased opinion. Dh is a wonderful partner and dad. Which is good as I'm mostly useless, ha.
Little Harry Bullcalf!!!

Are we sure DH didn't write that? ;)

This line occurs at least twice in this job ad:

Candidates’ cover letters should include a brief statement about their experience and approach to teaching and mentoring students of diverse backgrounds

I suppose I should probably do that. Can they be much more clear about that?

Congrats CG! I feel honored to know before family! I am assuming he just wanted to get out in time to see the night airshow tomorrow night! ;)

Some are pretty hot though, can be distracting.

Although, the messenger may want to pick a different spot otherwise, it may not get a chance to tell me.

Here's your dream girl, guessing you might listen to her. Guessing she doesn't speak English.

Btw, heard "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" on radio in the hardware store and thought of you.

Didn't get down for RAGBRAI so thought a long ride would be approps so I wouldn't think of myself as wimping out. Midpoint was fun at Minnehaha Falls, took pictures for people who wanted their family shot in front of the falls. Chatted with some nice folks from Nebraska and Arkansas.

Mile 32 was not so good. Augered in for my first crash in years. Basically T-boned another biker. No worries, my bike is relatively undamaged. ;) Me, I am kinda bruised and scraped up but didn't break or tear anything. The Kansas Jayhawk I crashed into was okay to. Some dude in the park poured some green rubbing alcohol on my arm where it was bleeding. What's a guy doing in the park lounging in the shade with an unopened bottle of rubbing alcohol? Weird, but nice of him. Hopped on the bike to ride home but was a little woozie so chilled at lakeside for a while. I think it's ibuprofen time and time to what's under all of that chain grease on my quad and knee. Chain grease I am assuming is a good disinfectant?

If the Jayhawk is OK, you did everything wrong.
