OU to BIG10 Heating up

I think they can be resurrected. Look at Alabama football in the late-90s/early 2000s. They went through a series of awful coaches, they had some really bad (by Capstone standards) seasons. Mike DuBose, Dennis Franchione, Mike Shula. I think there was a coach in there that got fired before he even coached a game too?

Not saying that Frost is Nick Saban, but when you're at a blue-blood, all it takes is the right coach to recapture some past glory.

Anything is possible but Nebraska can't match Bama's demographics. The two situations are not comparable. There is so much talent within 500 miles of Tuscaloosa. In addition to the homegrown talent, Bama borders Tennessee, Georgia and Florida.

Why, with relegation that would be awesome and absolutely the way to go.

Relegation is European soccer garbage. It would be another step in making another sub-division of college athletics. We could have a schedule that's in line with Northern Iowa or a MAC school after one bad season?

Even at a professional level it's garbage. Why would I spend $$ to see a scrub matchup?

As an owner how could I sell my product if we have zero chance of winning a title?

LeBron gets hurt. Team sucks. Gets sent down. LeBron comes back. The team is fantastic and I'm stuck in the JR division?

Come on, Argent. This is un-American

I would watch ISU if it were in NAIA. You’re not a loyal son I see. BOOOOOOO...BOOOOOOO this man!

"European soccer garbage" and "Unamerican" - doesn't deserve a well-thought out rebuttal. With thinking like that you're a real dead end.

Yup. It's about time someone saw through me.

1. How does having a relegated schedule help ISU with attendance, TV coverage, or recruiting? How does this make ISU's $$ or stability better?

2. How does a sports fan support their team on the professional level if their team has zero chance to be in the championship race?

3. How are fans OK with the best team possibly not winning the championship because they sucked LAST year.

Do you live in a pro sports town? Same rules apply.

Yes. So the 2014 Cubs sucked. They would've been relegated. 2015 Cubs played for the NL pennant.

But under the relegated rules they would've been ineligible.

Cut out the rags to riches story in sports and you cut out a lot of excitement and possibly crown a champion that isn't the best

Sorry but nope. The NCAA was un-American. This wouldn't result in a worse product but increase the quality and then allow the non-p5 some hope to keep improving to get "in". And it would keep the Kansas of the world from just pocketing the money because they wouldn't want to drop out. Throw in much more regional play and this is the ultimate winner and way to go.

Are you saying there’s not a ton of talent in Sioux Falls, Fargo, North Platte, Grand Island and Wichita?
