“Silverman will attempt to build a runway for Oklahoma to seamlessly cross over from whatever 3T platform they choose to have from July 1st, 2022 to June 30th, 2025, onto joining the Big Ten Conference on July 1st 2025 and it’s Big Ten Network. This is the goal.”

If **** really hit the fan and ou went to the big 10..the only positive would be Iowa playing them every year and getting owned just like we have lol. Let's hope that never happens though

Couple of thoughts.

The Big 10 will probably not want Oklahoma unless they think Texas will be coming with them. Also, Rutgers and Maryland better have their nut cups ready, because if Oklahoma does go to the Big 10, they will want to be full revenue sharing partners right away. They likely won't accept an escalating deal, while adding $$$$ to all their rivals. This is exactly whats happening now with Rutgers and Maryland.

Don't worry, they'd probably move Indiana from the East to the West, and put OU in the East with all the other best football teams in the conference.

My dream would be to ditch OU and somehow be able to add Colorado, Arizona, and Arizona State. But I suppose that would still be an overall negative for the conference.

Conference alignment is dumb now. What’s the point. Back in the day it was for travel and rivalry. Now it’s miney and only money. Which basically ruins the sport. The heck is the point of having a 20 team conference

Why on Earth OU wouod even look at leaving is beyond me. As long as big 12 is competitive $$ wise then OU has it perfect.

I am probably wrong, but aren’t OU and Okie State kind of a package deal? It just seems like that both would bloat the BIG too much. What in heaven’s name does OU really want, for goodness’s sake?

I look forward to football season starting, because the boredom of the off-season makes this place seriously nutty.

The B1G conference is now just in the business of ruining college football, that's it.

They are already flush with money and have no need to expand any further. In fact, I think most B1G fans would say that the B1G has already expanded too far, and has lost a lot of its rivalries, enjoyment, etc. Would Iowa fans rather watch Iowa play Rutgers in Kinnick or Ohio State, for example?

So IMO, the B1G is now trying to just ruin the sport in their greed to become the most dominant conference in the country. Someday the B1G will be the biggest and richest conference in the country, and nobody will like college football anymore, and the sport will go in the tank.

With cable TV dying a slow death, I don't see the super conferences happening.

I actually dream of the day we go back to the original Big 8, the original Big Ten, etc, etc.

The sport was SO much better back then. All the schools were pretty close to each other geographically, some awesome rivalries, everyone played everyone in the conference pretty much, etc, etc.

They are already bloated and unbalanced. Their football season is more like a tournament without seeding that benefits the lucky few in the draw. What next if they get bigger? Three divisions and a playoff with a wildcard team thrown in?

TV sets will always matter.. people aren’t gonna stop watching stuff on 65”TV... Amazon and google and Netflix etc will be the new cable. Number of eyes watching will still be the norm for $$..
