We get to stomp on a Hawk flag

This would be my wife. A bunch of tavern hawks. I never pushed anything, she started going to games with me and walking around campus. Her family had a fit. The change happened when she went to our 23-3 win over them. She called her major tavern hawk uncle to give him grief, I warned against it and told her it wouldn’t go well. She told me he had done it to us, I still insisted to leave him alone. He yelled and cursed at her and then hung up. I saw the reality come clear in her eyes.

Family gatherings must be a blast.

Full disclosure, my buddy and I went to the Iowa football game two years ago and were kicking ourselves for not having brought a sign to tape over the sign near the entrance to Carver Hawkeye that is out by the street....the sign was going to say "Georges Niang Arena" :)

That's my wife as well. She actually went to Iowa though so I'll never fully convert her. Her family is also mostly Michigan fans with a couple die hard Iowa fans. She's at about a 50/50 lean for both schools now, in the end she'll be around 80/20 ISU.

She does however watch all the Iowa State games and knows our football position players and all basketball players, and can maybe name 2 hawk athletes in total. So she really only follows ISU, but when it comes to ISU v. Iowa, she still "roots" for them.

First off, it’s probably untrue. If it was, he wasted money.
Second, numerous Manatt’s went to ISU. So if it’s true, it’s a stupid thing to brag about.

I went to college with several of them, one of them I was really good friends with. The guys who went to ISU became fans of ISU, but man that's a hawk family through and through.

My wife went to Iowa, hated her experience there and is now a complete ISU fan.

Isn't it Tennessee that buries a piece of football turf from every school they beat next to their stadium? It's called something like the turf cemetery.

Maybe ISU should bury a flag of all the teams we beat and place our port a potties over them.

Maybe several schools. I thought it was a Florida State thing.

You know........if they did bury the flag, and we did start a tradition of burying flags of teams we beat. It would come back as an epic flop for their troll job.

I only know one of them pretty well, but he doesn't work for the family company. Still, I would think they'd be upset with anyone jeopardizing not only the project, but their future project prospects with the University.

I’d say that’s different though. It would be like a hawk fan leaving a flag in the rafters of Hilton. Sure, it’s kind of silly and stupid, but whatever; it’s a college rivalry. What makes what this hawk fan allegedly did so stupid is that if everything goes according to plan, countless rivals will walk over your flag which is disrespectful. Therefore, the fan who allegedly did this was an idiot, because he’s doing the exact opposite of what he intended.
