I really liked Gone Girl. It was pretty scary how effed up someone can be.

Unfortunately it hit a bit close to home. My ex-wife could be similarly controlling and completely two faced. Very scary.

After my current wife and I watched Gone Girl together, I looked at her and said, "I promise I will never cheat on you if you promise never to do THAT to me." She said I was lucky she wasn't my ex-wife.

I'm sure you've seen the Coen Brothers' seminal effort "Blood Simple". I was a fan of their work right away - Dan Hedaya made quite the sleazeball, only to be one-upped by M. Emmet Walsh. A great film.

Excellent movie. I heard about it on Siskel and Ebert. Had to wait for it to come out on video which in the early days was several years after release. Nowadays some movies are out while they are still in the theater.

It's Lunch already and I only have 1/3 of my accrual file done I wanted to do this morning. It's also a crazy 'interruption' day.

Was that organization The Hand?

No, it was The Foot.

Sorry, some pages ago someone posted a question about a bike stand. I have one but got busy with stuff yesterday and forgot to check what one I have because I couldn't remember. However, Performance Bicycle has several including this one on sale for $99 which is very similar to mine. It is great for cleaning the bike as well as maintenance. Cleaning the chain and adjusting derailleurs become a lot easier when you can pedal and shift gears while working on the bike.

They have a couple of cheaper ones, but I can't speak to how well they work. I am familiar with the design of this one. It is a tried and true design that is very functional.

I love Performance. We were Team Performance members for years (get 10% back in team points on every purchase which you can use on future purchases). They have nearly everything you can think of for cycling.

You left yourself off the list, O Public Servant!
I did not. I clearly mentioned that I don't know Velo.

@jcyclonee is part of a vacationing key club. He has disappointed us by possibly letting his oldest attend the dark side. He’s auditioning to become the assistant ISU baseball coach, but otherwise works as an accountant for the govt. I think he’s with the IRS and doesn’t want to admit it.
The vacation key club seems to be disbanding. Everybody is going on separate vacations this summer. I would think an assistant ISU baseball coach would make pretty good money these days. I'm still trying to prevent/reconcile the dark side thing. I don't work for the IRS. I work for a completely different branch of the corrupt bureaucracy.

You mean the who just turned 50 and tore his ACL playing games that 50 year olds are supposed to retire from? Also the guy with the soon to be Hawkeye Mormon doctor daughter? Or are we talking about someone else? ;)
Remember, I'm happy about the Mormon thing unless they get married.

That's the guy!

I'm sure you watched Gone Girl....kind of like Fatal Attraction, in a sense. Some killer babe who will stop at nothing to get what she wants.
Good movie but I was bothered by the scenes after the blood scene. She went to the hospital covered in blood and when she was released, they had only cleaned the blood off of her face. Sure, it would have made the shower blood scene less dramatic but it just didn't seem realistic. Generally, when I've gone to the hospital covered in blood the nurses are good enough to clean it off.

I think this brings us to The Girl on the Train. It's just an OK movie but does star Emily Blunt so, full circle thing.

Also, are they ever going to make the other two Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Movies? I liked that movie (not as well as the book but better than the Swedish version).

We probably won't post it, but we did get a picture of Z pointing at her dad at graduation saying, "Doctor Dad!" It was really cute.

What I learned from going to the graduate service is:
Even though it was raining wear the tennis shoes. We walked enough laps that my feet did not want to walk after getting home. Twas horrible.

The key speaker kept saying, by doing/not doing almost every other sentence. I feel like her speech needed edited.

There needs to be an easier way to get to the floor of Hilton.

I haven't seen that one. I'll have to put it on my list.
It was their first feature film out of school. A low budget Film Noir. The camera work is outstanding. You could already see the immense amount of talent the Coen brothers have.
