Yeah they brought them in, thin crust. Hyenas would descend upon them very, very fast.
Thinking back there was buck burgers like 3 to 4 nights of the week at different places.
People's had $.25 wings on Monday nights during MNF. I would put a hurt on those things.
Plus, I think pitchers were like $3 or something ridiculous. You could gorge on wings and blackout for $10

They had great food in the late 70s, early 80s. Best fries in town. We called them Cy's fries, even though they were just listed as fries on the menu.
Still loved it when back in the day, we would call up Pizza Pit, give them an order for a couple of pizzas, and give them a fake name and number. We would go down there after an hour or two pretend to order and ask if they had any pizzas they would sell us cheap. We would score on those for like $5 for x-large. Ohhh.... back in the day!!!
Early 80's it had a pretty full menu of bar food. I don't remember them having conventional type deli setting .
It was on Lincoln way and Kellogg(?) or in that vicinity. I remember it from the summer of 96. Great comfort food.
I can still remember the crappy commercials they ran. "Panchero's BIG Burrito. What do they put into that burrito to make it SO big. Meat! Meat! and more MEAT!"
There was one on the south side of Lincoln way a block past the turn for the Pleasure Palace.
Now it's "What do they put into the burrito to make it so small and terrible, exactly half a dixie cup worth of meat and cheese! Get a full dixie cut for just $5 more!"
The Pancheros in Ames is the worst I’ve been to and it’s not just from time to time. I don’t know why they can’t get stuff right there. I love Pancheros outside of Ames.
Those sneaky ******* have gotten really pushy with the queso add on to the burrito as well. I've always been a huge Pancheros fan but they have really ruined what was the perfect burrito. A few months back they rolled out a new hot sauce and it's effing terrible.
The Ankeny location is consistently horrible. Don't even get me started on how they ditched the punch cards went with their new points system they rolled out.
