Cousins to Vikings rumor

Agree. The Vikings say they want to resign Forbath, but I hope they take a kicker in the 7th round.
Agreed. But I don’t care what round or what they spend. With all the pieces that are in place, we can’t lose another shot at the big One based on some guys foot.

@CloneFan4 change my mind

Remember when Joe Flacco was labeled "elite" just because he signed an unprecedented deal? That worked out...

Just stop.

Matt Ryan last three years: 1122 completions, 13,630 passing yards, 79 passing TDs, 35 INTs, QBR average of 99.17

Kirk Cousins last three years: 1132 completions, 13,176 passing yards, 81 passing TDs, 36 INTs, QBR average of 97.57. Kirk is currently third for all-time completion percentage.

Awfully close numbers to a QB that is widely considered elite, and that is with less weapons.

in a couple years after Brady and Ben are gone

AFC:
Tannehill
Taylor
Flacco
Dalton
Luck
Watson
Bortles
Mariotta
Carr
Mahomes
Rivers (if he hasn't retired)
Keenum

NFC:
Dak
Wentz
Smith
Stafford
Rodgers
Trubisky
Newton
Brees (maybe retired)
Ryan
Winston
Wilson
Jimmy G
Goff
Cousins

I know what conference I'd rather be in.

Cousins is decent but not an elite QB. But our offense is set up for QB's to complete a high percentage of passes. Look at the last three years. Maybe Cousins will dominate in Minnesota. he stays healthy and that is a big plus. As long as we can afford to re-sign Diggs, Barr, Kendricks and Hunter then I'm fine with signing Cousins. I would like to see the o-line sign someone in free agency and use the 1st round pick on a lineman. We need to upgrade two of those line spots. We are set at LT and C and wherever Remmers plays, preferably at guard. Ideally I would like to get a tackle in free agency and draft Billy Price or Will Hernandez.

As for kicker, I would love to see Forbath come back, and if not we will probably use one of those late 6th round picks on a kicker, maybe the kid from Auburn.

Keenum will most likely sign with Denver tomorrow. It will be interesting to see where Bradford and Bridgewater end up. I think we role with that young kid as out back up (I forget his name) and then spend a 5th round pick on a 3rd stringer - someone like Riley Ferguson.

Bronco and jets fans are pissed off so much lol
Cousins would have been nice but him and Von's cap numbers would have been too big to build a good team around longterm. Raiders fans are finding that out with Carr/Mack

I think Broncos fans are more pissed they got Keenum, they should have accepted a rebuild and took a QB in the draft and let him play. Denver fans know there's a lot of holes on the team and Cousins wouldn't lead them to Super Bowl aspirations.

The last 6 super bowl winning teams had QB under the average salary cap wise. It's hard to keep a winning team around very long when a QB takes a good change of the cap.

Uh oh looks like Cousins deal fell apart:

I kid I kid :p Going to be the back-up obviously.

That was not nice. For some reason on chrome I can't see embedded tweets so I had to open that one in a separate tab to see what the hell you were talking about.

Good move by the Vikes getting Siemian as a backup to Cousins. Will be interesting to see how much they gave up to get him.
