NFL: Offseason Thread

I will bet you the Vikes don't make the postseason next year.

Oh man, I don't know about that. Unless the rest of the North gets better in a hurry the Vikes are a pretty good bet for the postseason. The Bears are a year or two away even if Trubisky turns out to be the real deal. The Lions are the Lions. The Packers might scare me a little if only because Aaron Rodgers drags them into playoff contention, but the rest of their roster is dog poo.

I'm sure they'll enjoy his four good games to be immediately followed by a lengthy stay on IR with a bum knee.

When Mike Zimmer called his knee issues "degenerative" at the combine I thought that was a death knell for Bradford's free agency prospects. You're signing a guy with a bad knee that's only going to get worse.

Sam Bradford has to have the best agent ever. One year TWENTY MILLION from Arizona. He got more than Case Keenum (per year average)!

Bradford is interesting. WHEN he is healthy he's an extremely good QB. I'm assuming this is his last shot at staying healthy or no more teams are going to give him chances.

From multiple tweets:

Sam Bradford has made $114M in his career and just signed up for $20M more. Zero playoff game snaps taken and only 34 regular season wins to go with 45 losses and one tie.

Kirk Cousins is 4-19 vs winning teams and has zero playoff wins. Will earn $132M once this Vikings contract is up.
