Although 6’4 PG Ashton Hagans did decommitt from UGA today he DID NOT reclassify. He is still currently 2019 and focused on being the best player in that class and looking forward to #AdidasGauntlet

I'm indifferent on Carton, I also have seen very little video on his game. But, of course, if we can get an Iowa prospect in the top 100, that is always a nice get.
His Grandfather played for the Hawks and he is from Eastern Iowa. No chance in H he comes to Iowa State. There is a reason why we've invested zero time trying to recruit him. Let Fran keep stockpiling the lifelong Hawk fans. I'd rather pull recruits from Oak Hill, Simeon, Wisconsin and Michigan...

I thought I read somewhere that he grew up on the Illinois side of QC and moved to Bettendorf in the last 3-4 years. If that is the case, not necessarily a lifetime Hawk (but he still could be).
FFS the hawks get recruits gift wrapped, and still can beat us in recruiting or on the court.

Yep sorry to break the news. I guess I thought it was widely known why he was a heavy Hawk lean. His Grandfather was a pretty good player for them from what I have heard. If Cook transfers and the bottom falls out of that program who knows.
Iowa States program has been in limbo so many times when we had a chance to land program changing recruits who grew up Cyclone fans. Collison, Hinrich, Barnes, McDermott. Some luck has to fall back our way at some point. That Hoiberg guy worked out okay I suppose....

It’s unteal how lucky Iowa gets with good players that grow up Hawk fans, yet we get no guys in Iowa that grow up Clone fans. It’s bizarre
Hawk fans outnumber Cyclone fans statewide so I'm sure that plays a role in the imbalance.
