Purdy has a Bama offer. Not afraid. If Purdy goes there so be it.

I am more enthused as to Purdy’s reaction to his visit. He loved the college town atmosphere at Iowa State and the coaching staff. Said he felt “at home”.

Gotta love that Campbell told him to take his time. Think it over. Be sure. It is a big decision.

Again: we used FOUR quarterbacks last season. Depth is a good thing. I hope we hit on all our targets.
I’d like to see a chart or something showing the QB’s we’ve started/significantly used since Austin Arnaud (the last regular starter I can think of) and the time frame they played. I bet we have averaged over 2.5 starters a year. QB depth is a must have until we can prove some sort of consistency at the position.

What a huge win for the staff if they can pull this off and no real loss if they miss given the early signing class.

Looks like he also got an offer from A&M and Illinois and is talking about making some additional visits. Kid seems pretty good but you have to wonder if the new signing period is creating some of his demand because there are so few options out there now. Kind of like spring recruiting in basketball.

First thing Saban will tell Brock is-- "Don't talk to anybody at CycloneFanatic. They're poison."
Also told him not to check the academic rankings for the state of Alabama, they are a littl challenged down there.

Kid was probably smart not to sign in the early period. Now he can be wined and dined by multiple programs on an almost individual basis because there are not a lot of guys out there yet.

Re-al is already here correct? Does Re-al already being here and being talked about being used next season change things? That would indicate that he wont' redshirt. I'm assuming Purdy would redshirt so they would essentially never be in the same class right? That could mean it would be more about Purdy vs a '19 guy than Mitchell. Other than Duggan, what '19 QB's have we offered?
QB/S Kendall Abdur-Rahman: 10/1/17
QB Easton Dean: 12/10/17
DQB Jayden Daniels: 1/13/18
DQB Andre Gordon:

Brock Purdy is predicted to Cyclones in latest Crystal Ball predictions on 247.
The two guys who "flipped" their predictions to Iowa State (1 from Bama, 1 from Boise State) did so at 1:15am this morning. And one of the guys who predicted ISU has a 100% accuracy in predictions (40/40). These are the most recent predictions. Yesterday morning someone flipped from Boise State to Foggy. Looks like everyone who has predicted Bama did so last week after the offer.

Boise State seems to be completely out of the running according to the predictions:
3/7 say Alabama (43%)
2/7 say Iowa State (29%)
2/7 say Foggy (29%)

Illinois just offered as mentioned above. They have almost no QB options, so Brock would have a great chance to play early. I saw Illini in person this year, one of the worst P5 teams for certain. Lost their last 10 games. Would be sad to see him go there and waste his college career winning 2 or 3 games every year. Plus a definite coaching change looms there as they are going nowhere.

After the 4 and 8 Huskers had thrashed the Illini this year in September, leaving the Illini stadium with my Husker friends I stated rather loudly so my entire group could hear, "The thing is, we don't really know yet if the Huskers are any good because Illinois is one of the worst teams I've ever seen." I then realized I had said it too loudly and this sad little college girl with a traffic safety vest looked at me and said, "I don't think they are." I mean, I was right, but really the wrong time and place to say it. I still feel bad about that.
