Looked like WV was gunna take the jayhawks to the cleaners.
Was one of those games I wish could end in a tie so I didn' have to watch either one of them win.

I would have bet on WV. I would have bet KU would not win the b12 this year. Guess I was wrong and now think they will probably repeat. Big win for KU.

The whole BIG 12 has been getting KU'd for decades. To make matters worse , they are the weakest blue blood.

Self's method of tracking the standings for the conference is that road wins are a +1, home wins and road losses are a 0 and home losses are a -1.

Kansas +2 (3 road wins, 2 home wins, 1 home loss)

Texas Tech +1 (1 road win, 3 home wins, 1 road loss)
West Virginia +1 (2 road wins, 2 home wins, 1 road loss and 1 home loss)
Oklahoma +1 (1 road win, 3 home wins, 1 road loss)

Kansas State 0 (1 road win, 1 home win, 2 road losses, 1 home loss)
Texas 0 (1 road win, 1 home win, 2 road losses, 1 home loss)

TCU -1 (1 road win, 2 road losses, 2 home losses)
Baylor -1 (2 home wins, 3 road losses, 1 home loss)
Oklahoma State -1 (2 home wins, 3 road losses, 1 home loss)

Iowa State -2 (1 home win, 2 road losses, 2 home losses)

Tonight was just a WVU choke job. Nobody else to blame.
After 8 turnovers in the first 10 minutes, Kansas only had 5 turnovers the entire rest of the game.
After 5 blocks in the first 10 minutes, Konate had zero the rest of the game.

Kansas did well to survive how terrible they started, taking better care of the ball, finally hit some threes, stopped trying to take on Konate at the rim and actually forced more turnovers against West Virginia than West Virginia did on them down the stretch.

If I had to bet my house on the outcome of this game I'd be living out in the street. Man I hate watching us play West Virginia, even when we win.

I want Kansas to keep winning the Big 12 until we are the team to knock them off the top. It’s only fitting that we end their streak. But I’d definitely prefer that happens sooner rather than later

Oklahoma might have something to say about that.

I better agree with that since OU was my pick the very first week once I watched Trae Young play. But tonight KU did something that OU couldn't (& doubt anyone else will this season).....win at WV. Its KU's conference to lose now. All these rated teams are going to beat each other up in the grinder big12 play, which could actually keep a big12 team from getting one of the top 4 seeds come March. Going to be interesting.

That's been around much longer than Self.
