Well.......I was going to say something about the pajama bottoms too, but then I remembered this is a family-friendly site.

They are really heavy flannel which is why I still have them on. As with lots of my clothes, used to belong to one of my kids until he got too tall lol. So not exactly risqué.

That combination sounds interesting. I've made pancakes with chocolate and either strawberries, blueberries, or bananas, but I never thought to throw pineapple in the mix.

I was thinking it was two different kinds. I do like pineapple and Canadian bacon for pizza. Somebody gives me a cookie, I will eat it as long as it's not extremely awful. Will probably even ask for a second.

Ever notice that any mention whatsoever of baking has these guys drooling and falling all over themselves? Like clockwork...cracks me up EVERY time.

We're still finishing off the cookies from the holidays. With just two of us working on them, they tend to last a while.

I did not share any of the last batch of cinnamon rolls except maybe (5) total between the spouse and co-workers. I used them as one meal a day for a week and they were awesome! For whatever reason they raised a LOT better than the first time. I don't know if the yeast proofed better, or if it was due to adding the butter milk then the microwaved butter.

You let us be the judge of that. When and where can we pick some up?

For wrestling and football, somebody is in charge making a light meal for after each game. For wrestling, we make breakfast for after weigh ins. Kids smile when they walk in and see me since it means it's my breakfast burritos. Always a couple kids who says it's their favorite part of the season afterwards. I actually bland them down since nobody wants an upset stomach while wrestling. I prefer my home ones.

I see for varsity volleyball and girls' basketball they do team dinners (I don't think necessarily on game days, though). I thought it was like a team bonding thing--spend time together socializing and eating. Friends who hosted a volleyball meal said the girls just hit the food like vultures and are out of there in like 15min. Thought about trying to organize something for softball.

My wife had a cookie exchange before Christmas. All of the cookies were pretty good except one. One lady made these little cookie balls covered in powdered sugar. They looked pretty good until you bit into one and it exploded in your mouth like a bag of sawdust. On top of it all, she counted wrong and ended up only giving each family 5 cookies instead of 6. I guess that wasn't so bad.

Pineapple?! Do explain the recipe and taste.

They are a soft sweet cookie with frosting that my mom made.

8 oz can crushed pineapple
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1.5 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 Tablespoon margarine
@1.5 cups powdered sugar

Preheat to 350. Drain pineapple and keep juice for frosting.

Cream together shortening and brown sugar. Mix in egg, vanilla, and drained pineapple.

Combine flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Gradually mix in creamed mixture. Drop rounded spoonfuls on greased baking sheets. Bake for @ 10 minutes.

For frosting when cooled, heat reserved pineapple juice and margarine to melt. Mix powdered sugar and enough of the juice mixture to achieve spreading consistency and frost. I usually try to get about a thick glaze.

No. And they shouldn't be eating candles. It isn't good for the digestion and could make them a fire hazard.

This. I try to be "not-Weinstein" and all of that but, we are talking cookies, pj's, tall, and doing her Florence Nightingale thing. Hell, the dog is probably a St. Bernard with a little wooden cask of whiskey!

I have had those before. They were dry and awful and I imagined that the baker made them and froze them about a decade earlier.

If you see a woman running up to your crashed car wearing a teddy and carrying cookies it means you died in the crash. Just sayin.' Good news is that it likely means you are NOT in hell. Well, unless you hate cookies and teddy wearing women.

Maybe I can experiment some day when not baking for the basketball team. One of my boys loves the pineapple ones.

My mom said they were too expensive to make during the Depression but so was about everything else.

Grandma put crushed black walnuts in them but Mom never did due to fussy kids.

Could maybe throw in mini choc chips and see what happens.
