2018 Stock Prediction

This has been my strategy for the past 1-2 years. I have been trying to diversify my portfolio so I have good dividend-paying stocks across several industries.
Probably because of Session's announcement even though Aphria doesn't have any business in US right now.
AMZA has a .52 dividend delcared today. Do people ever buy stocks on the ex-dividend date and then sell right away? Does the stock always go down the same amount as their dividend?
On the ex-dividend date, the stock price is adjusted downward by the amount of the dividend by the exchange on which the stock trades. So in summary it's a wash.

Agree. This is the approach I've following for over 30 years and my portfolio has done real well. In fact, it's done so well, that I have the option of retiring early at 63. All earned income. No inheritance money or other assets given to me or my wife and no lottery wins. I've also never considered myself or my wife a "high wage earner". Just stay the course, invest regularly and invest on your own using low cost index funds at Vanguard, Fidelity, Schwab, etc.
FCEL reported Q4 earning this morning and had 95.7% revenue growth from the previous year. Stock price has jumped to over $2.10 on the news.
Damn! Nice 15% gain in pre-market. Too bad you have to hold it until the end of the year.
I love the weed stocks. I'm pretty heavy into Canopy Growth. It's up 160 percent for me right now but will go up and down 20 percent daily. It's fun if you have the stomach for it.
Non weed stock I love for 2018 is Disney. I think they are really setting themselves up to challenge Netflix over the next couple of years. There's the ESPN thing but they are buying up all of those FOX assets and will be a major player in streaming before too long. Everything I have read says it is undervalued, which is rare these days.
I figured some of you degenerates would have one, have you posted it somewhere? I'm thinking about getting on just to play around & figured I might as well use a code.
