On the road...
The biggest citrus warehouse in the Ventura area that I, and thousands of others, use to load Lemons and Navels is going to burn. Sad ****.

I was on the 405 at 5:30 am heading south (away from the fires). The northbound lanes were already completely jammed up at that time. Getting home later today is going to be a little tricky.

A woman I work with in California was told to be ready to evacuate if the winds change. She says she has her stuff packed and will just need to grab her laptop if the evacuation order comes down.

I hope people there had/have more time to evacuate than the people in Sonoma County did (virtually no advance warning and in the middle of the night). 44 people never made it out of harm's way in October. I haven't seen anything about related deaths with this one, so let's hope it stays that way.
