So Google says I need to bake my cayennes to avoid mold. Go figure. Should be an interesting smell.
As I approach 50, I've noticed that I can't handle the spicy food like I used to. I'm not very far from eating jello again, am I?My brother grows habanero peppers. He dries them out and grinds them up into pepper, he carries a small container of it with him wherever he goes. He puts it on everything.
He and his son are into eating these super-hot varieties, like the Trinidad chocolate scorpion and the Carolina reaper. No thank you.

For me, it wasn't so much turning fifty as having my son sent to Baghdad in 2005. Worrying gave me an ulcer. I've had to take meds and reduce the spiciness of my diet ever since. Never was a big fan of the really hot peppers anyway, so I didn't give up all THAT much.As I approach 50, I've noticed that I can't handle the spicy food like I used to. Those scorpion suckers frighten me. I would never try one, but if I did, I know that as soon as I got to the middle the scorpion would start moving around and sting me right in the lip and, boom, there goes my modeling career.I came across this store devoted primarily to beef jerky a few weeks ago. They have tiny samples of everything they sell and encourage trying them. I tried everything from Carolina Reaper to Bloody Mary (which sounds odd, but it was really good).
They also sold suckers with scorpions in them. I don't really get the draw for something like that, but they looked interesting.

Let's just say you'll probably still be able to eat at the spice level you want...but you will pay for it more afterward.![]()
What's scary about this is that I didn't like oatmeal for about 35 years. Recently, I've started liking oatmeal again. I may as well just book a long-term bed at Sunnyside Acres right now. My hip hurts. Where are my glasses? These kids these days with their music and clothes. Stay off my yard! And oatmeal
Too much salt is spicy.Didn't you turn 50 before we Westerners learned about spices?

Don't get her started on Constantinople, man.
No way! Be sure and share what byzantine logic results in that conclusion.Heck, she started Constantinople.
