Want to go on what might be a season ending bike ride but must bag some more leaves first. Have a lot of stuff that's still green and I don't want to cut down yet plus ton-o-leaves still on the tree. I'll be doing this till Thanksgiving unless I get snowed out.

Supposed to snow/slush/rain on Friday so I am guessing I'll have 20 plus soggy lawn bags for the Monday pickup.

Let me preface this and say I have never had a dream about cyclone fanatic before. Well last night I had a dream that a prominent CF poster was outed as being a young 16-year-old. It was super odd because people were making threads about how we have been all duped.

The poster was like so what if I lied about my age and etc. definitely one of the strangest dreams I ever had. Maybe I’ve been reading way too much CF.

I have a confession to make. I'm only 7 years old.

Yep, after the high winds the last 2 days I cannot even see grass in my yard, only red leaves. So I guess I'll be running the Leaf Hogg tonight after work. That was one of the best $40 investments I ever made.

Bagging leaves is an exercise in futility when you live in three acres of woods - oak, linden, maple, shagbark hickory, something called kentucky coffee tree (I think?), walnuts and several varieties of locust. We try to clear the area between the house and the lane, but the back "yard" (a hill sloping down to a small creek and partway up the hill on the other side) - yeah...it's mulch.

Came home Monday night after work and found a bloom on my mini rhodie by the front door...crazy!

I've got dianthus & sweet williams still blooming, and a crazy alstromeria that has blooms AND buds on it.

Do they not know it is fall???

Probably. I've moved my aloes indoors already. They're the only ones I bring inside because the cats will eat anything else, and I almost lost Mel because of a damn begonia.

Yep....the vixen had me put all her geraniums in the storage room last night, plus she pulled her mint plant and hen and chicks inside too. Picked the last of the bell peppers - and there were a LOT of them! - and also remembered to unhook the hoses from the outside faucets. Winter's coming.......

Based upon most posts, I think most of us are about 16. I know it's not me. I'm more in the 13 or 14-year-old level of post intelligence.

Thanks for reminding me about the hoses. I suppose I really don't need all of those things to split open.

Snuck in a ride before the weather does a big poopie. Had a sobering moment over by Lake Harriet where I came on a bad bike accident. :( Guy had face planted on the path after his front forks or suspension broke. Guessing he flew over the bars and hit the pavement with his face. His face was a bloody mess and he was unconscious. Luckily this happened (I didn't see it, came by like a minute later) right next to the parkway road and the first guy that stopped was a paramedic who was calling out respiration etc to the guy calling 911.

On a less gruesome note I saw a gal walking her cat on a leash a few miles later. I assume the cats name was Dog. No one other than KC is likely to get that and she might even be too young to.
