Texas Game Attendance

I don't think a 2-1 vs 1-2 Thursday game is considered "big time".

We buy season tickets to support the team but games like this make me question that decision. I can get better seats for lower prices for all but 1 or 2 games. Why am I paying $60 (or whatever) for worse seats than guys got for $23?

Well economically maybe you'd be better off buying singles. By buying season's you get guaranteed seats, you know where you are every game and maybe with a group you enjoy/get along with. Also when you buy season tickets you accept part of it's a donation to the athletic department. If (when) we start winning on a consistent basis you'll probably be much happier with your season ticket purchase. Then when you can't make a game you'll be like "darn I'm going to miss the game, but I sold it for $xxx.

But couldn't you call this a special circumstance? If it was a Saturday afternoon kickoff then nobody would be getting seats at those prices.

My wife and I go back and forth on this as well. With young kids involved in activities it makes it even more difficult. Throw in the above is knowing where I am going to be sitting every game really worth it? That is a question that is up to each individual honestly and one that we struggle with every year.

You guys can't shell out 60 bucks to watch your team play? Pathetic. All those empty seats are going to look great on TV.

Not everyone can making it to the game on Thursday nights... don't get why you don't understand this. If it was a Saturday game it would be sold out. A lot of the fans doesn't live in central Iowa, so getting here can be a challenge.

Any guesses on attendance for tomorrow night?

Just north of 60,000.

I would imagine we crack just north of 50k for a Thursday night.

That would be a disappointment. Perfect weather. A team we suspect is our best in years, and we can't get 55k+? I was hoping for more out of Cyclone fans, but I suspect our bandwagoners won't be on board until a big win.

Paid or actual? I would think paid will be way higher than that and actual will be at least 55K. I suspect there are a lot of fans waffling right now and they'll make it out tomorrow night.
