****, #$%$, ****.

Son has ~70 yards in a quarter and a half and then messes up his knee on a punt return. Out awhile now. Find out Monday. Hoping for just 1-2 weeks and not 6-8.

Ugh, that really stinks. First volleyball games Thursday the oldest hurts her hand on the first set of the second match. I am in the stands thinking jammed finger, then she was holding her wrist and they got her ice. Thankfully it wasn't too bad, someone had stepped on her hand but must not have been hard.

:)

What does a Campbell rating stand for? Is it like a winner rating times 10?

I think it's raising the standard.;) But you deserve winner times 10. Looking forward to game day threads again.

So sorry. Just hope it's anything but ACL.

Highly unlikely ACL. Trainer said LCL, I'm thinking maybe MCL or meniscus. Will sit out this week for sure. Pending severity, maybe he can get released in the next couple weeks for offense (health first, nothing rushed). When he left the game, he had more yards than the team had with him (meaning everyone else was losing yards). Could be a season that pends on the condition of his knee, or maybe they actually find another offensive weapon without him. Were down 14-0 when he left, lost 40-0.

11 days till preschool. Do any of you remember how it went for your kids?

3hrs a day. Z mostly plays with us, so a tiny bit concerned how social learning will go. She has tried to play with other kids before and her cousins.

My son was the same way - plus really shy. We were concerned how he'd do with other kids, and also leaving us when we dropped him off, but it went great and he never had any problems. He absolutely loved preschool and interacted well with the other kids.

Is Z a napper? Lil' bawbie would come home and take a 2+ hour nap in the afternoon.

Kindergarten me just decided to leave recess one day and walk home, about a mile away. Missing five year old today would have people freaking out.

My first day of kindergarten I didn't get off the bus at my stop, when the driver got to the end of the route, there was a tiny little just-turned-5 me sitting on the bus. Somehow he figured out where I was supposed to go and dropped me off on his way back into town. I'm assuming that'd be a bigger deal today as well.

Got the 420 ride in today. Got sprinkled on but missed the heavier rain, rode wet paving back the last 5 miles. Most surprising sight another biker going through the park.

Still battling my knee issues. Doesn't hurt so much when my leg is straight, but bending it hurts like a *****. Trying multiple things ice, naproxen a tougher version of Tylenol, and doing exercises my doctor gave me. Last thing I want to do is an MRI as I've heard they are very costly.

Meniscus might be your best outcome of those, they really vary in severity it seems. We did the surgery for son who tore his in basketball, as his first sport love is tennis and he wanted to be ready for it.

A kindergarten bus incident was the final push for us to just make me an at home mom. One of us was always taking leave for things like chicken pox as the child population started outnumbering us. I was down to part time but the oldest was in half day kindergarten and going on school bus to daycare some afternoons. Substitute driver mistook him for another kid and told him to get off the bus -- about two miles from where he was supposed to be. He just started walking with a kid who got off the bus there who he knew and when the kid's mom met him at the corner, she looked at my son and said "you're not supposed to be here, are you?" He decided she was ok since he knew her son. He did successfully give her my work phone number, which I thought was fairly impressive. However, he was scared of the bus for a few days afterwards and husband used his lunch to follow the bus and reassure him.

Well that sucks. BTW, naproxen is actually in the same class as ibuprofen. Good anti-inflammatory but with loads of precautions if you take it for an extended period or have any other issues (long list).

Was supposed to fly MSP to Houston and then Houston to Costa Rica tomorrow. Flights totally cancelled. I blame you, @GTO

Hey, make a video and blame United for the weather. Would probably go viral if you had a hook, say you were traveling with a rare parrot you were returning to the wild after rescuing it from a gang of poachers in Mpls. And United didn't care and gave your seat to some guy named Harvey!

I like the idea, but if our president has taught us anything, it's that it's just easier to blame the brown person when something doesn't go how we want it to.
