@Cyclones_R_GR8, I see from a different thread that you attended Yankee games in the 70's.

You are now even cooler in my view (hard as that is to believe)!
Our high school band did some field shows between double headers for a couple of Yankee and Met games.
Also went to a game or two with a friend and his dad

RAGBRAI looks a little wet today if you didn't take off early. I am guessing Velo is already in Chuck City having brunch. Will see if @NWICY reports on the wet.

Started at 6:30, made it to Rockford before getting caught in the rain. Waited for about 5 min. it let up and did the next 8(?) miles in a light rain. It rained pretty good while I was having lunch. On that note I would recommend Dave's in CC for lunch darn good buffet for 8 bucks.

When you turn on Tombstone on AMC, and are sadly reminded that Powers Boothe is no longer with us.

:(

Edit: For that matter Bill Paxton, too.

"This is one of my favorite pieces. Automatism at it's finest. The spontaneous flourish of the left foot. Oh dear, or is that the right foot? Gr8 was clearly trying to convey man's eternal struggle to put his best foot forward."

"I appreciate the boldness of the piece. The subtlety of the bent gender relates to the gender struggle in today's society"

"You are both missing the main point of this exquisite piece. It's a modern take on Magritte's Son of Man. We always want to see what is hidden by what we see. The lack of a face is Gr8's apple. Just brilliant."

Saw one of these today. Thought it was a decoration at first, until it moved. Luna moth.

I don't remember, I was like 16 or 17

Connecticut was 18 back then
Washington was 21, Idaho (9 miles from Wazzu) was 19. We crossed the border on weekends. TX was 18; I remember our first family trip down there after my HS graduation. I asked my father if I could have a beer with my meal at the steakhouse we went to...he was kind of surprised but then just asked if I was legal.

I am ashamed to say it took me longer than I would have liked to figure out what you were talking about. Also I keep reading it as Jeff Grayer Drunk thread.

I'm a little confused - CW mentions that Adam is gone. And there's an "X" through his silhouette on the podcast art. Did I miss something? He still shows up as staff on the "members" page.
