For you gals that have said your hubbies spend to lengthy a time at each Home Depot visit.

This is how you Home Depot:

9:38: Sitting a home and reads that carbon monoxide detectors should be replaced every 5-7 years. Decides I should do that since mine is definitely pretty old.
9:52: Walks out of Home Depot with new unit.

Looks at back of old one, manufacture date of 1997. Ooops.

Next up, replace the smoke detectors on the high ceiling in the bedroom and great room. Ah, heights, man, heights.

I was curious to see if anything had hit insurance yet from my surgery and very short hospital stay. The hospital bill is $28k not counting surgeon fee and some outsourced testing.

I still haven't gotten anything from my visit to the doctor 3 weeks ago for these stupid shingles. I can't believe the rash still hasn't completely gone away. Every day now the pain gets a little bit less. Amazing how long this **** lasts.
I wouldn't wish this on anybody, well maybe Hawkeye and Husker fans.

I'm glad you are both getting better. :)

I haven't officially received anything either just looked at my insurance site thing where it lists all of our claims and all that jazz. Everything is still pending so I am curious what it will be after adjustments.

I just logged into myuhc and see that visit was $218.20 and I MAY owe $63.89. I guess I should be getting a bill sometime soon.

I haven't seen anything yet from my hospital stay except labwork and miscellaneous medical care expenses.

If @cyrocksmypants is hanging around, I was driving down West Broadway in North Minneapolis today and saw the Jackson Hewitt store. There was graffiti on the window. However, in that neighborhood, it may just be a permanent feature.

I'm actually going there today to get our off-season posters up. I think the graffiti is endearing to that area. Plus we're relocating that store in a few months. Not worth it to fix.

It's just the typical graffiti, "For a good time, call cyrocksmypants, 612-555-1234".

Actually, it's just a small black roundish thingy.

Adult son went to doctor in October for an ear infection. He has his own insurance and is also covered by ours since he is under 26. They finally sent him a bill towards the end of April for seven or eight bucks. He was going to pay it at first of month when he writes his other checks and got threatening letter from some bill collection agency five days after he got the bill.

Everyone is better off than Medicaid patients in Iowa though. Watched the neighbors' kids one day last week so she could drive her grandmother 60 miles to a doctor who would actually take her since so many providers are getting stiffed they just won't take patients.

Had dinner with friends on Sunday night one of which is a dietitian at the U (ISU Grad) and she said they are on a hiring freeze due to medicaid not paying out tens of millions to them.
