I'm sure this isn't the first time anyone has brought up Bachelor Party's on this site before, but I'm a little stuck given the nature of this BP and am seeking advice from anyone and everyone who has ever planned or attended a Bachelor party.

First thing to know: I am the best man, it is my brothers wedding

Secondly: my brother lives in Ankeny, and none of his guests (including myself) are from there. He has expressed a desire to keep it local to him (Because who would want to travel for their own Bachelor Party?) There are 12 guys on the invite list, and most live in North-Central/North East Iowa.

3: The date is May 20, not sure if anything exciting is happening in the area that would be bachelor party-worthy or not. It will only be a weekend event (Sat-Sun afternoon)

4: My brother is not a huge drinker, and I'm not too sure any of his friends are either. He will drink, but I'm sure he doesn't want to get drunk.

5. He is anti-strippers

Given the criteria, any suggestions from fellow fanatics on which way to steer this thing? The last time I went to a Bachelor Party with similar criteria, it was a snooze fest, and I don't want my brothers to end up that way.
He has mentioned something about Perfect Games in Ames, and I've done a little research and while it looks like it could be fun for a couple hours, certainly not a marquee Bachlor Part venue, or am I wrong? Never been there. Also not sure what else there would be to do in Ames once the luster of Perfect Games wore off, but I guess Ankeny/DSM is only 25-30 min away...thanks for any help/ideas!

Husband went to one in DSM, but there was much drinking involved. What does your brother like to do? Golf? Sports? Camping?

Find a golf course, 12 guys equals 3 groups, switch up the groups every few holes, or play best ball. Even better: play 18 in the morning to set the teams, and another 18 of 3 or 4 person best ball in the afternoon.

Prairie meadows should be racing by then, go bet on the races/hit the tables. Head downtown and bar hop.

Are the I-Cubs at home that weekend?

A few ideas that haven't been mentioned yet
Paintball/Lazer tag (you'll have everyone prentending thier in middle/highschool)
Up-down (barcade)
Ricochet (des moines dive table tennis and darts lounge and its BYOB)

Unless this is the most PG group of guys in Iowa I would not recommend perfect games or Ames in general. Des Moines all the way. Boating suggestions was good. Golf, live music maybe

No strippers, that still leaves golf, ICubs, hookers and blow, not a bad weekend in Des Moines.

Why even have it with no booze or strippers? Why not just do a couples night out with everyone? Would likely be more fun than go-carts and video games and you've pretty much eliminated the reasons for "guys only."
