RECRUITING: Morrow sets visit, Juiston visit info

Just thinking out loud. He is looking for guaranteed playing time hence its between us and UNLV. If he wants to win he'll go to ISU but let's not pretend that UNLV doesn't put guys into the NBA. Confident our coaches sold the program, if he goes elsewhere so be it.

Unlv puts players in the league because they get NBA caliber recruits. It doesn't matter where you play, if you have the talent you can make the league.

Obviously coaching helps, but it's not like they have a consistent coaching staff.

Thing about the KU deal ... he goes to school like an hour from there. He's seen the campus. Knows what it's about. I wouldn't put too much stock in the visit thing either way.

HOWEVER, KU getting those Memphis kids was a big deal. If he really did cancel visit - which I cannot confirm (my sources said it was up in the air as of this afternoon - the main reason is why? Is it to do a favor for this AAU coach and check out DePaul or because he's actual done with KU cuz of the Memphis kids? That's the question.

So much salty for a team that lost a coach in nineteen days to Texas Tech.

I mean, who would want to go to Lubbock after Las Vegas?

And nothing since.

I guess they were at least runner-up in the MWC tournament in 2013.

Meanwhile...

He is welcome to a bad program in a city that cares not if he really wants it, I guess. Like I said, I never fault a kid for his decision -- but doesn't mean I have to understand.

I got Stokes wanting UF and Feazell wanting MSU.

This one would be a head-scratcher, though.

If he goes to UNLV, I'll be very disappointed in what could have been, but whatever he's a kid, and it's Vegas. But if he goes to DePaul... I'll quit following recruiting all together.

That pretty much tells me Kansas is not out of this. I'd wait for a more reputable source to come out with that before believing it.

...which could be cancelled, right? I mean, it's not like recruits have never cancelled visits to Ames before, is it? I get it that "Kansas always gets what THEY WANT", but consider Cheick Diallo sat and wasted on Self's bench his whole freshman year, but could've been KEY with ISU. I think that is something Juiston should strongly consider!
settle down on the kool aide dude

Hanging out at Michelin quality restaurants and gobbling up those Raiders season tickets. Looks like managing a Scout site with 15 subscribers pays a **** load more than I would have ever guessed.

Well in all fairness maybe he had dinner with the Michelin Man and thought it was a Michelin restaurant? I mean look at his picture... That guy probably thinks the "Mc Pick 2" his high class eating.

He has another job. He works as a waiter at Olive Garden. Or so says his LinkedIn profile.

Juiston is reportedly independent and a great guy. I think we offer the best situation for him, but it's not surprising he's going to be deliberate while also looking at some places that from the outside don't make sense to us. He's not an overly-pampered five-star prep just looking for the biggest brand, headline, or payday.
The staff has worked as hard and well as possible on him.

Morrow is a nice prospect, but I hope we don't have room :)

Don't get too worked up about this hump.

If you look him up...he had to apologize and retract and article about a kid he had incorrect info on that he ran with anyway a month ago.
Also...his Facebook..pretty clear he's padding at what I'm sure is a sweet 2 bedroom apartment....classic spray drip ceilings, etc. Dude has 200 followers....how the eff do you write for a university athletic program and only have 200 people who want to see your work?
Guy is nobody.
