If you can wait in Albert Lea until Sunday, we can pick you up in Albert Lea on our way home from Des Moines next weekend.
So boxster just needs a ride to Iowa city by 3pm tomorrow. Anybody in the quad cities to Iowa city area?

Throw in a bottle of wine and he could get paid to be a hitchhiker.
That would garner him more offers than flashing a bit of leg would do for him.

So...boxster you out There? Find a rhubarb pie and some wine. Hitchhike to Iowa city hospital by 3 pm tomorrow. I will pick you up and drop you off at either Albert lea or clear lake, your choice. JC will pick you up Sunday and get you to the TC. You are retired with nothing else to do, so it will work.
I may need somewhere to stay tonight. MrsWx texted me that LittleWx finally pooped...on the way to the potty...in her hand. Apparently my response of "better than on the floor?" was not the right one.

Usually, the best answers are "Suck it up, buttercup" and "Huh, that never happens with me."
She'll appreciate that comment about 5 years after your last child is potty-trained. Unfortunately, there'll be something else you say that annoys her at that time.
