*** Official Texas Tech VS IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

we consistently settle for a tough shot. Tech is killing us by driving to the basket and getting easy shots. We have 4 guys standing at the three point line with their hands out waiting to either shoot or pass. When the shotclock runs down we have one person who decides they are going to shoot no matter what and that is our offense

If this is what the offense is going to be under Prohm.......I'm not interested.

Either Csp starts winning or I see empty seats on the horizon....I will say it....Its Official... I was Spoiled by Fred Hoiberg...For criminey sakes we look like the Drake Bulldogs playing at the K Nap center...Pathetic

I could understand a lack of talent if we looked like we had any identity as a team. Hoiberg's first team sucked but was still fun to watch.

The 'fun to watch' thing is cute, but doesn't mean the team is good at basketball.

This team doesn't have as much talent as many want it to, and to me it looks like they don't have the ability to find much of an identity. It's like ISU football trying to identify itself as a strong running team except the Oline can't make it happen.

Do we run an offense of any sort?

doesn't seem like it. the guy with the ball has to make something happen. There is not a lot going on off the ball. So it doesn't look like we have an offense. No off the ball screens, no cuts, no motion, no back door picks, nothing.

When the announcer says... "The Magic is GONE!".... then Prohm had better start sending out feelers for a new job folks, because you can't come in and kill the Magic and survive here.

Not sure about that. McD was here for a pretty long time and I'm not sure when he'd have been shown the door if it wasn't for Creighton.

It doesn't look like we have any consistent playmakers on this team. I don't see anyone being even second team big 12 if there isn't a noticeable improvement. We're small and full up on role players. We also don't pass the ball well enough to make it work.

Monte should have taken a shot at the pros after last year it turns out. His stock is going down this year game by game.

It pains me to say, but the NBA narrative on Monte could quickly become 'Georges and DeAndre made him look better than he is.' Fair or not, I am starting to question his ability to get to the hoop

This team doesn't do anything particularly well, and when the going gets tough they don't have a single guy to turn to to make plays when you need them, which is a direct departure from every team from the last five years.

They don't shoot well. They don't board well. They don't defend. Honestly they don't even fast break well.

But you cannot lose to Tech at home without the wheels coming off. You HAVE TO win this game.

Something Germans something Pearl Harbor.
