I voted yes because whenever the sky is falling posters are in full force on CF, it's never anywhere close to as bad as they seem to believe.

Generally, yes, but there is all kinds of cause for concern here. We have an RPI of 117. We are literally the last time in the field in Palm's latest projection. Sure, we have opportunities to strengthen that resume, but we also have a lot of games against very good competition that we will inevitably drop a few.

I can appreciate those who think we are doing just fine, but I cannot foresee a scenario where we are not sweating it out a bit on Selection Sunday.

I don't think we're "fine" but we haven't even started the conference season yet which makes saying "if selection were today" about the dumbest ******* thing I've seen posted since the last game thread.

I agree.
I think NIT.
Non conference results pretty weak. Needed to beat cincy at home and Iowa anywhere on the planet. One quality loss and one quality win.
I don't see better than 9-9 in conference.
All adds up to NIT to me.

Disagree -- that's SI's field this week. Some choices/seedings are debatable with that bracket, but it isn't a projection of March.

Well whatever it is, I still stand by my point that our resume today would not put us in the tourney. However, I can admit I have no idea how our resume compares to the other 350 teams, so maybe its a Top 36 resume?

Why in the hell would it have to be a top 36 resume? The 36 at large spots are awarded after the conference champions are in. Are you suggesting that none of the top 36 teams will win their conference?

Fair enough. Bracketology in late-December is inexact, for sure, data set is too small.

Dozens of teams could be considered "on the bubble" at this point (even a month from now, the candidate list will have shrunk considerably). I think ISU would be in the field today, but I can respect an opinion it's closer to First Four.

Good or bad, we know what we have with our guards. Optimistically, to make the tournament, Burton becomes a full time go-to player and Young emerges as one of the better Big 12 freshman.

Yeah, what I meant was one of the top 36 at large resumes. I probably should of worded that better.

For the record, I voted yes as I think we will go 10-8 and have a top 50 RPI. But as of today, we still have work to do.

Except we will have to make jumpers on their ****** up court so probably an L.
Haha. True. I went to grad school there and it was like the Hilton then - good atmosphere and they definitely punched above their weight class at home. They rained 3's on LSU last night and got a road win. It'd be fun to beat Scott Drew's brother.

FWIW LSU is a dumpster fire.
