If ISU would just play with a little effort they'd score 100 on offense every game and hold their opponent to 40. I just don't understand why it's still so hard to be great on offense and defense and free throw shooting and three point shooting. Fire Prohm.

Probably Drake's best game this season, considering the opponent, and another lackluster effort for 35 minutes by ISU, and he's spouting off this crap?

This team needs to take a hard look in the mirror and realize who they are, and Prohm needs to get ahold of their attitude and let them know they are no where near as good as they think they are (yet at least), and simply tell them to STFU.

We're a top 30 defensive team and we have a +5.7 rebounding margin on the year so if you're going to melt down and predict a loss to a mediocre Oklahoma team at home at least come with some facts

Throwing out a wild idea here, but maybe focus on both offense and defense? Not sure if any coaches have tried this route but I think it might make sense.

Now that we're further into the season, I'm quite sure they will. I think the focus on defense was a great idea, though I think Coach Prohm thought the offense would just come naturally (and it didn't, though you could argue that this could have been papered over with better shooting).

I've mentioned it elsewhere, but I get the feeling that this staff uses practice sometimes to get our team better rather than on countering a specific opponent, particularly when the opponent is one that we have the talent to beat easily. That may make some games against weaker opponents closer than they should be, but may pay off better long term.
