Junior year was pretty bad. Covered stuff like women's swimming and diving, golf, softball, etc. Senior year was better. Did some work on football, then got to write a guest column about the Iowa/Iowa State football game and then got invited to do a weekly column and I quit officially covering sports at that point and just did columns. At one point I had a Thursday column about whatever and a Monday column talking about the football game from Saturday.

My grandma turns 90 next Wednesday. We are supposed to all get together on Friday night for it but weather may cancel that. The back up plan is Sunday at the farm but I am not sure how excited for that I am.

My boss said he heard 12-14 inches of snow. That means we'll get about 3.

The halftime score of the game tonight was 14-10.

20-7 for Nevada. We had a comfortable lead in the 4th but midway through the 4th Nevada called a timeout and after it the team went into a stall offense (no shot clock in high school) which imo while within the rules is a pretty chicken **** thing to do. I know there is a major cost in installing shot clocks but they need to be apart of high school basketball.
