I really hate scalpers. They add no value to their product that they sell. They only add expense to the people that want to enjoy the event. It really pisses me off.
Yeah, guess I kind of started something there. I know plenty of people who would like to buy season tickets...to actually USE. But they can't, because scalpers got them first. That guy is grandfathered in, so he's paying $199 with no donation, and asking $500.
I understand selling tickets for games you can't get to, even making a small profit. He's selling the whole season for a 250% markup, in his words to keep other people from buying them from him at his price and making a bigger profit off them. I'm not going to praise him for that. I guess I'm more of a fan than a profiteer.

I am torn on getting what they may be worth on a game by game basis (supply and demand) vs just getting people in there. Especially for people like us who can't make most games and certainly can't afford expensive tickets.
I guess I don't really remember scalpers being a big thing growing up when I wanted to go to an event. If you didn't sit in line with everyone else, you probably didn't get to see the event. It put everyone on equal footing at least. The internet obviously opened up the re-selling market, so Pandora's Box is wide open and there's no closing it.
Even though I'm now in a decent position to pay for events that I want to see, I get tired of so many ticketed events hitting the secondary market. In a different time, given how special it was to save up for a concert, I would have probably never seen a concert when I was younger because I couldn't have afforded it.

Found out today that we will only be able to carry over 40 hours next FY. By my calculation I have to take four weeks of currently unplanned vacation in the next year or I lose it...
Sounds like some play dates with little Wx.
Yeah. I wanted to get out camping with friends or fishing with my dad (that won't happen until he retires) so maybe some of those thrown in with a family vaca and more time in Oshkosh.
Has anyone given any thought to replacing 3rd quarter playing of S. C. with a remake of the Toni Braxton song "Un-break My Heart" but change the lyrics to Un-break My Balls?

So I was just trying to do some homework at Starbucks and Bill Clinton walks in, apparently asking a campaign staffer if Monica is coming wasn't funny to him.
Was digging in the freezer for the frozen cheese tortellini. In the process I discovered a tub of frozen chili left over from a huge batch made a couple weeks ago. Dinner plans changed.

There are likely a bunch of games that we'll have tickets available to if you're looking to get into Hilton.
Probably less than a 250% markup.
